    Coat drama, but sorted

I first saw this coat on my sister’s Instagram and ordered because it looked perfect. Delivery showed up surprisingly fast, which I loved, and when a zipper started acting up after a couple weeks I was kind of panicked. Customer service actually listened (big relief) — they arranged a repair and sent a replacement button set, so the leaking feathers aren’t an issue anymore. Not thrilled about the price, but happy they handled it without endless back-and-forth.

Finally a blazer that felt right

fit, weight, details all there. Shipping was surprisingly quick from Italy and the packaging was tidy. Small things — a slight crease — but nothing major. I’ve been telling people about it since.

    Shoes arrived mangled

I dropped a small fortune on a pair of Golden Goose — about $700 — and when the box arrived the shoes looked like they'd been tossed in a hurricane. Soles bent, shape ruined, not fixable. The ordering itself was fine, but delivery felt amateur-hour. I messaged customer service before posting and got a one-line, copy-paste thanks, which was disappointing and a little insulting. If you're picky about presentation, steer clear or at least ask about packaging. Next time I'll try Farfetch instead; they seem to actually care about how luxury items arrive. Kinda bummed.

    The awkward refund epiphany

order unavailable. I needed them — bad back and long flights — and after a previous bad returns experience I was nervous. After week of silence I kept prodding customer service. Weirdly, an email eventually said refund sent — and for a month nothing showed. I kept checking, calling, sighing. The moment I knew I was satisfied was when the refund finally landed, exact amount, small relief.

    Worth the push

they denied my return on day 14 (yep, last day), and it took three weeks, many emails and a lawyer threat before they finally approved it. They accepted the return — relief — but then there was an unexpected $80 customs fee. In the end I'm satisfied it worked out, but man, be ready to push.

    Relief at last

I remember opening my bank app and seeing the refund land — that was the exact second I knew I wasn't losing this one. At first I was sure it was a scam, package too small for two items and zero replies, and I even thought about reporting them. I've been burned by other companies before so I was skeptical. Then a real agent finally answered, sorted the return and confirmed the refund, and it arrived within a week. So yeah, kind of a roller coaster, but ending felt fair. Would try them again, cautiously.

Refund took forever, but it did come through

I mailed the return, UPS scan showed it delivered back on July 11, so I figured they'd refund me and move on. Weeks passed. I kept emailing—placating replies about the partner boutique needing to verify, then radio silence. I was ready to dispute with my card company and even filed a complaint with the BBB. After I escalated, they finally processed the refund. Not smooth, definitely not 24/7 customer service, but it got resolved in the end. My advice: keep tracking proof, follow up firmly, and don’t wait to escalate. I’d use them again, cautiously though, with tracking and patience.

    Wedding shoes, messy returns

you can't just print a return label, you have to wait for their team to send one and that took a week. Then two weeks later they said they couldn't accept the return because of a scuff on the sole. I literally only wore them inside for two minutes. So the shoes themselves were OK, not flawless, but the returns process and customer service made this frustrating. Won't risk them again.

The shoes were great, the process was not

I like the shoes but the whole purchase was a headache, so I'm on the fence about keeping them. I ordered these as my go-to work shoes — something to wear on my regular commute and for client meetings — and they look exactly like the photos. That’s the only positive that felt simple. Everything else dragged out. No tracking was shared for over two weeks even though DHL had already been trying to deliver for days. I had to take a day off to chase down the package and learn that Italist hadn’t paid for delivery-to-pickup option, so there’s no easy reroute; you either sign in person or accept delivery without a signature, which I wasn’t willing to do for an expensive pair. Small details like that should be handled by the seller. I’m frustrated and tired of the logistics, and while the shoes fit great, the experience left a sour taste.

Wrong sneakers, long wait, tiny win

is the curation real, are prices legit, will returns be a nightmare? The Brunello Cucinelli pieces looked great so I clicked, nerves and all. Within an hour I noticed the duplicate and immediately tried their “24/7” chat to stop the order. Of course, nobody was there. Tried again, still nothing. Sent an email, paced a bit, checked my phone like a lunatic. About 20 hours later someone finally replied saying it was too late because the retail partner had accepted the order. That annoyed me—especially since the whole thing didn’t actually seem to be processed until days later. In the end the sneakers did show up and returning them turned out to be easier than I feared, which honestly took the edge off. So yeah, some doubts evaporated (returns were okay), some stuck around (support and communication need help). I’m glad it didn’t become a full disaster, but I’ll be triple-checking my cart next time. Lesson learned, awkward but not catastrophic.

    Almost cancelled, glad I didn’t

I froze for a sec when I saw a $300 charge and honestly thought I’d walked into a sneaky subscription trap — so yeah, I was pretty skeptical before I clicked anything. I messaged customer support kind of half-annoyed and half-hopeful, and they actually talked me through what the Infinity Membership does, canceled the auto-renewal I hadn’t meant to sign up for, and offered a fix that made me feel better. I use the site for the occasional designer find, mostly shoes and a jacket here and there, so I wanted the perks for faster checkout and deals. The checkout wording could definitely be clearer — I almost missed it — but their team was friendly and actually helpful, which eased my mind. Now I’m glad I stuck around; it’s been useful in my day-to-day shopping and I’m pleasantly surprised.

Couch, receipt, and a disappearing $700

“we’ve escalated to finance,” “thanks for your patience,” rinse and repeat. No phone number, no human follow-up, just canned messages. That’s the thing that stuck with me — the copy-paste replies felt like hitting a wall. After nagging them for weeks, I finally saw the refund land (took longer than promised), and yeah, relief. Still, it didn’t feel smooth or professional. If you’re thinking of ordering expensive stuff from them, be ready to chase refunds and save screenshots. My little piece of advice: document everything and don’t assume the timeline they give is fixed. Mildly annoyed? Sure. Satisfied in the end? A bit — but only because I kept pushing.

That one time I almost lost patience (but got my money back)

oops, out of stock. Fine, mistakes happen, but the odd part was how long it took to get it sorted. I kept thinking delivery mix-up, warehouse hiccup — but it turned into a week, then two, and I was nudging support more than once. They promised a refund a couple times and then it took longer than I expected (I even had to mention Apple Pay escalation to speed things up — which felt awkward). In the end the money came back and I told my sister who’d asked to buy the same thing, “maybe go ahead but don’t expect lightning-fast service.” What won me over a little was that when I pushed, the team did respond and fixed it; that flip from skeptical to mildly relieved matters. So yeah, not flawless — delivery and inventory felt sloppy — but customer service eventually did the right thing. Small heads-up: if you’re in a hurry, maybe don’t count on fast turnaround.

Wrong color, slow refund — but it ended OK

item wrong, return followed instructions, they dropped the ball on communication, escalation necessary, refund issued in the end. If you shop here, be cautious — document everything, use a payment method with dispute protection, and expect to chase them if things go sideways. Slightly annoyed but relieved to have the money back.

    Unexpected charge, frustrating support

membership is non-refundable and it was disclosed during sign-up. Fine, but I never clearly consented to a paid membership. The rep offered to cancel auto-renewal, which is something, but not what I asked for. So now I’m left hoping my card company can undo it. Bottom line: the transaction and invoice were delivered efficiently, but the customer service response felt scripted and unhelpful. If you’re considering this, watch the fine print and don’t rush through prompts. Take screenshots, double-check every checkbox, and use a card that makes disputes easy if needed. I’m annoyed and a bit worried, but not surprised — online sign-ups can be confusing. A clearer checkout and a human, flexible support reply would have made all the difference.

    Little red flags all over

different foam, the sizing is weird, and there are random stickers and stamps neither of my originals have. The box smelled like a factory, not a store — kinda alarming. The weird thing is, despite all that, the slides are actually pretty comfy around the house. I didn’t expect that, and I kept catching myself wearing them for quick errands. Still, comfort doesn't fix the fact they seem counterfeit. Two dust bags came with these, which is odd because my other order didn’t even include one. Now I’m stuck doubting everything I bought from them — did I spend real money on fakes? The $70 credit feels like a band-aid. I emailed customer service and got the usual assurances, but this is the second time something’s clearly off. I just want a straight answer or my money back. No one wants to feel like they’ve been scammed, especially not when you’re just trying to buy a simple pair of slides for pool days and grocery runs.

Jacket looked great, trouble started after the fitting

I was halfway through sipping coffee when I tried the coat on and thought, huh — this actually looks really good, like a proper designer piece. Used it around the house and imagined wearing it on my winter commute and weekend walks. Then I noticed it was too tight across the shoulders and knew I had to return it. That’s where everything got messy. I messaged customer support, they told me to send it back via DHL Express and even made me pay the return — fine, annoying but okay. Three weeks later, instead of a smooth exchange they come back saying they won’t refund because the Italist tag was removed. We never took it off. What’s wild is they literally put some random detached tag in the box as “proof” and somehow didn’t remove the original one that had been tucked in a pocket. So it looked like they were trying to prove something with a silly, sloppy setup. After that it was dead air — only an incompetent chat where the usual line is “we’ll have to confirm that with xyz,” and one single written reply saying “we’ve told you everything.” I even sent a paper letter, nothing. The coat itself was nice — good fabric, nice cut — which is why it stings. If you want the piece for your everyday wear, it’s tempting, but dealing with returns and this kind of customer service is exhausting. I wouldn’t risk it again.

Wrong size box, right belt eventually

I remember unwrapping the package and just kind of staring — the Ludmilla was shoved into a box that looked way too small, all crumpled like someone had folded a blanket into a lunchbox. First impression was definitely disappointment and a fair bit of annoyance. Then I noticed the belt was missing, which felt ridiculous given what we paid. I called Italist right away and, honestly, the back-and-forth that followed made me roll my eyes a lot. They sent a video of the coat and the packing slip but not the packing itself, and for a while it felt like they were avoiding the real issue. I kept thinking, “Just send the belt,” but that didn’t happen overnight. There were tense emails, one or two phone calls, and a lot of waiting.

    Halfway-through-vacation letdown

they canceled without asking me and didn't automatically refund the charge. I was left with a negative balance of over $700 for something I never got. I kept emailing — literally had to chase them for days — and even tried their marketing and PR teams to get someone to flag my order. At one point they said the site was down; fine, but that still doesn't explain the lack of timely refund. The discount code I wanted to use never worked either, and by the time anyone replied it was too late to apply anything. The only unexpectedly good thing was one customer rep who finally replied and sounded genuinely sorry, tried to look into options and offered to escalate; that human tone was oddly reassuring, though it didn't fix the money issue. In the end I had to file a claim with my bank. Delivery was a bust, customer service slow, and the whole experience left me wary. I can see how others might have a different experience, but based on this first time, I won't be ordering again.
