I had to email repeatedly about a part and replies were slow and sparse, which tested my patience. So in daily life the product works and I don't regret the actual purchase, but dealing with the company was a hassle and felt impersonal. Not perfect, but usable if you're okay with weak service.
Sank and silence
I grabbed a cheap memory foam mattress from Lucid and delivery was actually fine — showed up on time, the delivery guys were polite and set it up without fuss. For the first year it was okay, but around 15–18 months it just started collapsing in the center; we kept drifting toward the middle and it got lumpy. I filed a warranty claim with photos and details, waited forever, and then they denied it because the dent "wasn't 1.5 inches." Their suggestion? Buy a topper. Really. Customer service felt dismissive and kind of robotic, which was the worst part. I’ve had other companies handle claims way better, so this was disappointing. Not terrible for a while, but support ruined it for me.
Finally worked out — but not without a fight
I first saw the ad on Instagram, late at night while scrolling, and I thought, hmm that looks neat. I told my sister about it and she said go for it, so I ordered the adjustable frame and their mattress. At first I was skeptical. The mattress sat too high on the base and felt too firm to fold properly. I sent photos. And then more photos. Emails back and forth. They kept saying give it time. I gave it over a year. I was annoyed, honestly. Then after pushing, sending a video of me on the bed, and a bit of escalation, they agreed to send a replacement thinner mattress. Delivery took a while, but it showed up eventually. The moment I knew I was satisfied was when I sat up, hit the head raise, and the mattress actually bent cleanly with the frame — no awkward bulge, no feeling like it was sitting on top. Not perfect, and the customer service could have been faster, but the end result works. I’d tell a friend to buy it, but warn them to be persistent if it doesn’t fit right at first.
Not what it used to be
my wife’s adjustable base started acting up. I’ve sent Tim at Lucid over 20 emails, plus photos and videos. They say a “bolt” fell out and that broke the metal frame, so no replacement. Thing is, it’s not a bolt — it’s a pin with a cotter clip. I keep explaining but the tone from Tim has been off, kinda rude, and the whole process drags. What’s weird is that a few years ago I sent one email with pictures about a broken part and they overnighted a new base — amazing service then. That surprise turnaround made me a fan, so this string of slow replies and excuses is disappointing. Delivery itself used to be great and the drivers were polite, so I’m left wondering why support has changed so much. Still love the mattress though, which makes this whole warranty mess more frustrating.
Solid mattress, dumb address policy
billing and shipping addresses must match. My mattress ships to a PO box because we don't get deliveries at that address. It's a common situation. Other companies I've used didn't block the order for that. Support said they couldn't bypass the check. No workaround, no manager exception, nothing. That felt short-sighted. They're effectively turning away repeat customers. The mattresses themselves are good. Fit, comfort and durability were fine in our house. But the checkout policy and the inflexible service outweigh that for us. I can see why some people would tolerate it. I won't. I'll look elsewhere next time, even though it's a hassle. Tried different cards, same result. Spent an hour on the phone. Not worth my time.
Late-night surprise fix

I’ll admit I was skeptical — and for a bit that felt justified, since the rep I dealt with at first was kind of curt and kept calling it a “bolt” which it wasn’t. Anyway, after a few tense emails and some photos, things finally moved. They changed tone, someone escalated it, and a replacement part showed up quicker than I expected. So yeah, I went from annoyed and doubtful to actually pretty pleased. The mattress still sleeps great, the bases work fine now, and my back is better. Not perfect process-wise, but the end result was worth the hassle — and I’m sleeping better, which is the whole point.
