I almost talked myself out of buying this — everything screamed “too good to be true” (the site said UK, the photos looked professional, and of course I wanted a special gift). Still, I went ahead because they let you upload multiple angles, pick skin tone, and even pay extra to have a name carved on the base. Those little bells and whistles made me relax a bit… for about a week. Then the box arrived and, well, reality hit.
Desk buddy delivery
it’s been a month and that little bobble guy has logged more desk hours than my actual planner. He sits on the corner of my monitor, bobbles when I clap at Zoom meetings, and somehow makes spreadsheet errors seem less personal. Ordering was pretty straightforward — the website walked me through options, I uploaded a crappy candid photo (my fault) and hit send. They sent a proof which helped, but because the original pic was shadowy I asked for a tweak; customer service actually picked up the phone, suggested fixes, and sent a revised mock-up within a day. That back-and-forth is what sold me — patient, clear, and not robotic. They didn’t rush me, and they were honest about what could be improved from the photo I supplied. Delivery was surprising in the best way. The box was solid, wrapped like it meant business, and showed up right on the date they promised. No crushed edges, no drama. The only small gripe: there’s a tiny paint imperfection on the left ear — you notice it if you lean in like you're doing quality control — but so far it’s only given coworkers something to tease me about, in a good way. In daily life this thing is a conversation starter, a little dose of amusement in the chaos, and yes, it’s extravagant for a boss gift, but worth the reaction. If I could change anything, clearer initial photo direction from me would’ve saved time — their team filled the gap nicely, though. Bottom line: good service, reliable delivery, a couple small flaws, but overall very glad I went for it. When I gave it to my boss, he laughed, then put it front and center on his credenza — proof the delivery and service actually mattered. Would I buy another one? Probably, but maybe not every year.
