it came out soft, the drape stayed lovely and it didn’t shrink or go weird. There was a tiny letdown — one set’s shams weren’t quite the same shade as the cover, so that was odd. Shipping took a bit since it came from abroad, but customer service saved me when I messed up the house number; they fixed it before it shipped. Overall I’m pleased and already told a couple friends.
Half relieved, half annoyed
Funny thing — I wasn’t expecting to feel relieved over a refund, but when the money finally hit my account I actually breathed out. Took ages though. First, I got a daft response and had to chase them, then I had to point out UK consumer law (yes, I did my homework) before they budged. That moment when they finally admitted the batch was faulty and agreed to refund? That’s where I felt okay about the whole thing. The other item I ordered is genuinely nice, so I bumped my opinion up a bit — it wasn’t all bad. Still, the pyjamas were 3 cm too short, which is not a small slip-up; I mean, who signs off on that tolerance? They offered 15% off or for me to pay £15 to swap for another pair, and at one point I was told I could get a refund but I’d have to cover return postage. No thanks. I reminded them the law says faulty goods should be refunded without the customer paying return costs. I don’t love having to threaten a dispute with my card to make that stick, but I’ll do it if needed. I’m not deleting the review like they asked — that would defeat the whole point. If Ownkoti fixes their customer response and tightens QC, I’d consider buying towels and sheets from them, because the other item shows potential. For now, buyer beware — good product sometimes, but be ready to push for what you’re owed.
Wrong sizes, loose grommet
the pattern was okay, but that’s it.
Sizing surprise — but actually kind of usable
it’s surprisingly soft, not gawky, and the filling is light but warm. It ended up being great for nights when I wanted something less bulky than my winter duvet. Funny thing — my kid stole it for movie-nest duty, so that told me something about the feel. Return policy? Ugh. The label said returning to China, which felt annoying and impractical, and made me doubt whether I’d bother. So I kept it. Bottom line: if you want a true drop-over quilt, this isn’t it. If you want a soft, decent-looking top layer or a throw that behaves like a coverlet, it’ll work fine. I went from irritated and suspicious to mildly satisfied — not perfect, but usable and honestly pretty comfy. Just double-check the measurements and be prepared for a top-of-bed piece rather than a full drape.
Not quite what I expected
colors and stitching looked like the photos and the fabric feels decent, warm enough for cool nights. So far, so good. But the measurements were off — marked "full" but not standard American full dimensions, so it never covered the bed the way I needed. I tried to make it work, moved it around, folded it, you name it. Return was the real problem. The site says returns are accepted but after three unanswered emails, a fourth reply blamed me for choosing the wrong size and refused to give a return address. When I mentioned PayPal, they finally gave a China address or offered $10 back if I kept the quilt. That's not a return policy. That sinking feeling of being taken — yeah, I had that. On the bright side, the quilt itself is usable if you don't need standard sizing. Quality isn't terrible. But customer service and returns were a mess. I found the same item on Amazon for $58 with normal returns, so lesson learned: check measurements and compare sellers. I'm disputing through PayPal now, but I wouldn't count on it. Heads up.
