I still don't have my payout and it's been months of chasing. We needed their help because our parked car was written off on September 12 and we had to sort out transport and a replacement, so I was expecting a straightforward claim process. Instead the other insurer sent the money to Qdos on December 19 and I was told we'd get paid as soon as the funds cleared — only that never happened. It's now January 17 and despite lots of calls and emails, we're still waiting. We even returned the rental car early because we were out of the country for 24 days in October and were told if the claim was paid we had to give it back immediately, so we didn't want to break the agreement. We bought another car in the meantime and have lost interest on the money while Qdos holds it. Communication has been patchy, answers vague, and it feels like they're dragging their feet. I'm not sure about the legality of holding funds this long or whether they'll cover lost interest. Annoying, frankly — reasonable service would have saved us time and stress.
Case saga — three tries later
nice weight, matte finish felt solid and like it might actually hide prying eyes. It did block the view all right, but Face ID? Nope. I fiddled with Face ID, cleaned the camera, rebooted, tried different angles — nothing. Customer service asked for photos of "what exactly?" which felt pointless, and they weren’t exactly friendly about it, so I tossed that one. Ended up buying a clear one next, and honestly it’s been great — snaps on, fits snug, no Face ID trouble, minimal bulk. Then my third arrived and felt like cheap, thin plastic with no real magnets; not what I paid for. So yeah, a mixed bag: one very good clear case that actually works, one promising but blocking case that broke the phone’s convenience, and one flimsy replacement. I laugh about it now, but it cost me time and extra cash — would’ve liked better service though.
Finally not disappointed
first unit showed a hairline crack after a few weeks, no drops, nothing dramatic. I was skeptical, honestly. Went back and the shop wouldn’t swap it because they didn’t sell it directly, and the maker was slow to reply. So I ordered a replacement but didn’t expect much. Then the moment I knew I was satisfied happened: the second case arrived, I cleaned it and fitted it carefully, and after three weeks of normal use the tiny corner stress point I had been watching didn’t grow. It didn’t pop, didn’t spider out, nothing. That’s when I relaxed — not joyful, just relieved. The product does what I needed it to do finally. Customer service could be faster, and the first hiccup was annoying, but the replacement held up and that changed my mind. So yeah, cautious recommendation: buy if you want a slim, practical protector, but don’t be surprised if you need to follow up with support. Worked out for me in the end.
