the flame looked like a crayon sketch and it barely felt warm. After a quick call and some fiddling, it kicked in; I sank into the couch and felt my back actually relax. That's when I knew it worked.
Refund only after CC dispute
pay with a credit card if you decide to buy from them.
Half a fireplace, full headache
pretty to look at, but no heat and still fishy. Could’ve been great if complete.
Pretty fireplace, lousy follow-through
the finish looked flimsy, like cheap plastic pretending to be wood, and the remote felt cheap. I tried to do the sensible thing and return it: called, emailed, used the chat (back and forth, ugh). Nobody would explain the return steps, and then the chat agent offered a 10% refund if I sent it back — no reason, no policy citation, just "ten percent." So now I'm stuck with a $400-ish fireplace I won't use. Annoying, especially since the deal looked promising. Heads up if you see this one — double-check returns before you buy.
Good stove, awful return handling
the stove itself is fine, but dealing with returns and support was frustrating. I bought the unit because the listing looked right and, honestly, the heater does what it said it would do. That said, when I realized it wasn’t going to work for my setup I tried to return it — the site originally promised a “NO HASSLE RETURN” and a prepaid label, and I even grabbed a screenshot. I emailed right away explaining the issue and that I needed to send it back, and the answer I got was “you have to pay return shipping.” I replied with the screenshot and then… crickets. No follow-up. To make matters worse, the wording on their site changed after my message, which felt shady. I’ve had better luck with returns from other companies, where they at least respond. So yeah, I’m glad the product was accurate and it worked, but I’m annoyed by the poor communication and the policy flip. Would shop elsewhere next time unless they sort this out.
Half-refund and mixed signals
someone actually followed up quickly, so I replied and asked about shipping to Canada, warranty, where the unit was stored. The rep kept saying “no problem, we ship to Canada, we have a Canadian warehouse,” so I felt okay and assumed it’d be smooth. Then a few days later an email said they couldn’t ship to Canada. Weird. They promised a full refund of $828 USD, then only sent $228, then $100 a week later, and then nothing. So that satisfaction moment — when I first believed them and felt relieved — was quickly replaced by irritation. On the plus side it was surprising they refunded anything at all and that follow-up text felt human, not robotic. Still, the slow drip refunds and the vague “audit” excuse left me with more questions than answers. If you’re buying from abroad, don’t count on their shipping claims, and don’t expect a quick, complete refund. I tipped a friend off to the deal at first; now I’ve warned them off until this is sorted.
