    Morning letdown

I still have hope Segway can fix it — I did suggest express shipping or a quick supervisor review since Toronto isn’t that far and it could be resolved fast. If you’re buying, my advice: double-check confirmation emails and be ready to push for a supervisor if tracking looks wrong. Also, keep screenshots of your billing/shipping info (saved me from looking totally confused). Overall, ordering was okay, price situation meh because of the missed sale, and customer service needs to be more consistent — but one caring agent shows it’s not impossible to get decent help.

    Small crack, big problem

    I need the actual replacement clip, or I won’t ride it. The responses I got were not helpful. They sent a glue-and-tool kit — which might be fine for peeling stickers, not for a structural clip under load. I explained several times that a glued crack is not a fix for a load-bearing piece and even offered to pay for the replacement part if required. Support kept referring me back to the kit and gave mixed answers about next steps. I asked to speak to someone who could authorize a part shipment and was often told to “wait” or that a supervisor would call back (they didn’t). The scooter itself still rides well when folded and locked, but I don’t trust it the same way anymore, and that’s the point — it’s a safety issue. Bottom line: product performance was fine, first impressions good, but dealing with the recall has been slow and unhelpful. I’m now leaning toward a different brand for my next purchase unless the company fixes their recall and customer response process. If you plan to use this daily and rely on quick, sensible support for safety issues, factor that in.

    Finally a fix, and it actually surprised me

    I almost didn’t bother writing this because I swore I’d never be that person who leaves a long review, but here we are. I first heard about this part from a buddy who works at a local scooter shop — he flagged a thread on a forum where a few people were having trouble getting a rear tire to seat on a G30P rim. That made me nervous right away, since my shop gets picky riders and we can’t afford drama. Still, I ordered the replacement assembly because customers kept coming in asking about it and I wanted to see what the fuss was about myself.
    At first I had every reason to be worried. We tried fitting the replacement tire with five different techs — yes, five — and used proper tools, even a bead blaster. The tire just would not seat. We took photos, shot video, and sent all that to support, hoping for someone to say, hey, here’s the fix. Instead we got the usual links and troubleshooting videos that didn’t match what we were seeing. I wasn’t holding my breath — but it showed up, and right away we noticed small differences in the design that mattered. Once we swapped it in, the tire seated cleanly, no drama, and the scooter rode a little smoother than before. That little extra improvement was unexpected, honestly. Also, they included a couple of small spare parts that I didn’t expect to get — handy to have in the drawer.
    So my doubts before ordering were real, but in the end they mostly melted away. The process could have been faster and the first responses were generic, but once it reached the right person, they handled it properly and shipped the fix. I appreciate that follow-through. Would I recommend buying parts and trusting support straight away? Maybe with a note to keep your evidence ready and be prepared to escalate if needed. Overall, this turned into a positive experience after a rocky start, and I’m relieved my customers left the shop happier than they came in.
