I love the sweater, the fit, the details, the quality, and the color. That said my sweater arrived with a fragrance that was kind of like Febreeze, and I am very chemical/fragrance intolerant. I can hang it up outside and I know it will air out, so it’s not a dealbreaker, but I was surprised at this given all of the other details and attention paid to quality and a “no-chemical” process. It’s really quite puzzling!
I’ve sent a message to find out more, and I am NOT giving a lesser review because this is not a permanent problem, though it is disappointing.
To be fair, I am highly sensitive and I am betting almost no one else would even notice it. This is why I am inquiring to find out what the scent might be from.Crewneck sweater
I ordered my sweater because I liked the look of the product and the story they are telling about sustainable fashion and I happy to say I’m thrilled with my sweater. Great customer service helped sort a delivery delay and the garment is beautiful. Love the packaging too. Definitely will shop here again!
2 light knit sweaters
i ordered 2 sweaters. from germany. as they are a little bit too small for me i want to send them back. on their website tjere is a link to create a label for the return. this doesnt work properly althoug i work with all numbers from the invoice. i sent 3 emails to all their email accounts that are listed online > no response at all after 3 weeks. i am really pissed, very bad service
Hi Frederik, first of all really sorry to hear about your frustrating returns experience! Our team is always focused on making the return process as seamless as possible for our customers but in your case it seems our technology simply failed - our sincerest apologies for this.
But more importantly, we're hugely apologetic to read that nobody responded to any of your messages. Tech glitches can happen at times but our customer experience team aims to be easily available and assist in any way possible. And we usually pride ourselves on our quick responses with average response times of below 10h. So we would really appreciate your help in investigating what went wrong. We've tried to locate your order but are not entirely sure - so could we ask you to please reach out to theflock@sheepinc.com with more details?
Many thanks and apologies again for your unpleasant experience so far. Our team will make sure to put things right.I purchased a gimmick :-(
All negative I'm afraid. Gimmicky nonsense - rubbish quality goods.
Extremely poor communication
Lots of stupid gimmicky "welcome to the flock" nonsense but no substantial customer service.
The app to register the jumper doesn't work and nor does their email system it would appear - automated replies only.
Nobody is monitoring their facebook comments.
Then you get told you don't actually need to register the jumper its all another gimmick.
Bought a jumper for my husband for Christmas. Because it was SO expensive I wouldn't let him wear it until it was "registered" which took me more than a month - ironically then falling outwith my return period - hmmmm wonder if that was intentional.
Neck fell off first time he did get to wear it.
No response to communications.
This company is going under I can feel it in my water - get your money back if you can the guarantee is only as good as the company's reputation.
AND if sheep inc reply to this before they're bothered replying to my emails it will simply prove they are more concerned about their image than their product. And I forgot to check the NO box on would you buy here again. DON'T DO IT
UPDATE - when I eventually got a response, I got an immediate and full refund. Soits been a learning experience all round.
3 light weight sweaters . 6 medium weght
I love the sweaters, my husband and family all wear Sheeps inc sweaters and love them.
Looking forward to the new collection This autumn.None
Great idea ! That is - 10/10 for marketing gimmick (first carbon-negative clothes brand), and 0/10 for real impact. Firstly - did you account for the fact that an average sheep produces about 30 liters of methane per day (common term for this phenomenon is "farting") ? Just asking...and it would be nice to see the numbers. You know, CO2 is not the only greenhouse gas, and not the most important at that. Secondly - we are already living in times with very low CO2 levels...and if it it drops to half of the present value - we are all dead (and you are out of business). This works like this: at 170 ppm most plants stop growing: what follows is the death of animals (including the sheep, unfortunately), after which the rest of us die too. These are facts. But I guess the rule is: never let the truth get in the way of a good story. This way you can feel good, make people pay for...well, exactly nothing, and be "the world's first carbon-negative clothes brand". As I said - great idea...pity it actually changes nothing while addressing imaginary problem.
BTW - I like well made merino wool jumpers. Just not from you.Hi Les, thanks for your note, we’d like just to address a few points.
We launched Sheep Inc. to challenge standards in the fashion industry. To design knitwear that not only feels good but also does good - by making sure that each of our garments has a positive impact on the environment instead of depleting it. We have therefore taken extremely conscious decisions with respect to our design, materials, processes and partners: for instance working only with sheep farms that use regenerative farming methods that enrich the sequestration potential of vegetation and soil and make their properties carbon negative (essentially converting them into giant carbon sinks). And we invest 5% of our revenue into biodiversity projects that mitigate our remaining footprint tenfold - projects that are vetted by a panel of climate crisis experts. And our next aim is to become naturally carbon negative.
Regarding your points regarding other greenhouse gases and atmospheric CO2 levels. First of all, we of course agree that one should not ignore other greenhouse gases such as methane. Which is why we always focus on CO2 equivalents (CO2e) instead of CO2 which converts each other greenhouse gas (CH4, N2O etc) into equivalent units of CO2. And with respect to CO2 levels, current atmospheric CO2 levels have reached a level of 415 parts per million, up from c.280 ppm at the start of the industrial revolution. According to NASA Science, the last time levels were so high was 3-5 million years ago when global temperatures were 3-4 degrees warmer. So whilst we do not challenge that there is also a required minimum level in atmospheric CO2 levels, the current issue we collectively need to solve are rising greenhouse gas emissions and the related heating of our beautiful planet. And we want to play our small part to address this in the fashion industry.
Hope that helps!I would just like to congratulate the response from Sheep Inc. Les is not happy as you haven’t tried to prevented all climate issues and also haven’t solved world hunger with your jumpers. However, the jumpers are fantastic and your response was perfect!
