I’m relieved — it got sorted in the end, though getting there was annoying. I called before I ordered to ask them to put my tax ID (NIF) on the invoice, and the rep told me they would, so I went ahead and bought it. A week later the invoice arrived without the NIF. I called back, they said they’d check with the supplier, and I kept saying “it has to be on there” because I literally wouldn’t have bought it otherwise. Two weeks passed, no update. Next call was frustrating — the person I spoke to was curt, and honestly hung up on me when I asked for a supervisor. That felt like being blown off. I pushed a bit more, mentioned the recorded call, and finally someone higher up actually fixed it and sent a corrected invoice. So yeah, could’ve been handled way better, but I’m glad it ended positively. My tip: don’t let it go, keep notes and ask for call references. Also, maybe they should train reps not to hang up on paying customers. Overall, happy it worked out, but it took patience.
Surprise return-to-France policy
they were too narrow. The weird part was that the product page showed size and color but not width, so I only discovered the narrower fit from the label on the box. I clicked the return link in the shipment email and got an address in France. That meant I’d have to pay international shipping to return them. I honestly didn’t expect that, and it’s not something I’d have done if I’d known up front. I reached out to customer service to clarify and felt the replies were slow and didn’t clearly explain costs or options — helpful, but not great. The sandals themselves are fine if the width works for you; they’re comfortable enough and the delivery was quick. Still, the checkout/returns side needs work: make the width obvious before purchase, and spell out return country and who pays shipping. Multiple Spartoo country sites make it confusing — double-check which storefront you’re on. Bottom line: product OK, delivery good, but returns and support left me annoyed and more cautious next time.
Think twice about returns
they looked good online and the photo promised a lot. We followed the sizing guide and, surprise, they were too small. She told customer service right away and got a return approved. That’s where things started to go sideways. The boots arrived without a proper shoe box — just the product in a flimsy carton that got crushed in transit. We had to buy our own box to send them back. The real problem was customs. The parcel was returned to sender because Spartoo wouldn’t cover import fees on a return, even though local post told us that’s on the merchant. They sat on the package in France for almost a month before sending it back. Ridiculous. After some calls and emails they finally apologized and asked us to resend, this time with extra paperwork they hadn’t mentioned before. No offer to pay for shipping, no clear guidance up front. I was pretty skeptical at that point. Still, after pushing, they did respond and offered a small apology which felt like something, at least. So it’s not all horror — the boots themselves looked fine and customer responses became slightly better once we made noise. But the hassle and the extra cost to return something that was their sizing fault? Not great. If you buy from them, check the fine print on returns and be prepared to chase them. I ended up grudgingly satisfied that we got answers, but it took too long and cost too much effort.
Not what I expected
I almost bailed on this order. The site clearly said it would arrive before Christmas and shipping was free, but after a few late deliveries from other shops I was hesitant. I needed this item as a gift for my mom — nothing huge, just something specific she wanted — so I ordered on Dec 16 hoping the promise was real. By Dec 23 the tracking still showed no movement and I called. The person who answered was brusque and basically told me I shouldn't have expectations when delivery is free, then put me on hold and hung up. That whole exchange felt dismissive and added stress to an already tight schedule. Later I got a reply from Marie that covered part of the issue — a pretty standard response — but it didn't change the fact the parcel never left the France warehouse for Romania, so there was no way it could arrive in time. So I spent the afternoon in crowded stores hunting for a replacement present, which was frustrating and awkward. I liked the product choice and the checkout was easy, so my doubts before buying were partly about timing and customer support; unfortunately those doubts turned out to be valid. What would have helped was a clear update and a genuine apology, or at least an offer to expedite once the delay was known. Instead I felt brushed off. If they ship the order now and make a fair gesture I’ll reconsider, but right now the promise on the site didn’t hold and the customer contact made the situation worse. Small things like a proper explanation or taking responsibility matter. Not thrilled, but willing to update this if they sort it out.
Cap purchase
I just got this cap from an online store and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised! The price was killer and they even threw in free shipping. Ordering was a breeze, and my package was on its way the same day I clicked buy. When the cap showed up, it was all nicely packed in a little box, and the hat itself was looking fresh. You could tell it was the real deal, not some cheap knockoff. Shipping was quick too, only took about 2.5 days all the way from France to California. I'm super happy with my new cap and the whole experience.
Birkenstock sandals - International return process
I recently bought a pair of Birkenstock sandals from this company, but had to return them because they were the wrong width. The whole return process was a mess - turns out I had to send the sandals all the way back to France on my own dime, which was definitely not mentioned on their website. It felt like a shady move on their part, and I was pretty bummed out about the lack of transparency when it comes to their return policy. On top of that, Spartoo has different sites for different countries, making it a pain to find relevant reviews and info. It would be great if they could just straight up tell us where they're based and make their return policy more obvious on the website.
Baby shoes
Be aware before ordering anything, this company does not offer free returns or exchange.

Mens Lumberjack Sandals made by Birkenstock in Spain
I bought this pair of sandals fo rmy husband's birtday and they were way too small. I ordered his regular size that he had on his old Milano sandals. whihc is a 45 but thes new ones had his toes hanging out over the shoe.The site states -

Size guide: Take your usual size
Now we are stuck wiht the shoes unless we want to pay a husge shipping fee whihch cost almost as much as the sandals we purchased. I guess the shoes made in Spain run small and this information shoould be provided on the website. I have ordered quite a few pars of Birkenstocks that were made in Germany and their sizing has been consistent. I do not believe I should have to be penalized for the paying of returning an item which was not properly described on the website.Women’s El Naturalista pair of shoes

The pair of shoes I purchased on Spartoo’s website happen to be extremly tight and had to return them. Then I realized Spartoo doesn’t cover return fee nor provides reasonable return shipping fee through the site. Big disapointment that cost me $57!!! TO ALL OUTTHERE: Prior to purchase consider return shipping cost just in case, please.
