Custom Katana
I bought a custom katana from this company not too long ago, and I gotta say I was really let down by the quality. It was supposed to be handmade and top-notch, but the sword I got was just not up to par. The blade was dull, and the workmanship was pretty shoddy overall. I was definitely expecting better from something like this.
Custom Sword
STOP! If you're considering buying a sword or having one custom made move on to another business. I recently commissioned to have a custom sword made for my son for his 18th Birthday. The website had errors and I was unable to input the initials I wanted engraved onto the blade. I emailed customer service and then discovered that there were actually 3 swords that had been ordered. I was then told “it was too late” for me to have two of them taken off the order. It had only been a couple of days and it was on their end with a slow and late response to my email days prior. I was finally able to get two of the three removed from the order. Confirmed the initials I wanted engraved and was shown an example. From there I thought everything was good. I was sent photos of “my sword” which I now believe are just stock studio photos. From these photos I mentioned I didn’t see the initials. No response. Guess what was missing when it arrived. Their response was to refund me $20. No thanks. Other fun items of note. When I began having customer issues I asked for a number to speak to someone. Their website doesn’t have one… nor would they give me one when I asked. RED FLAG. One of the “features” I checked was for the smith to mark their work. What that means with this company isn’t the artist himself putting a mark on it. No. It’s “DRAGON SPIRIT WORKSHOP” that will get printed on it. Might as well say Wal-Mart. I have a decent size sword collection and I implore you to take your business elsewhere.
