later that afternoon a different member of the company reached out — an actual person, with a real apology and a small credit to make up for the mess. It didn't fix the wasted hour (or my lukewarm coffee), but that moment — when someone admitted it wasn't smooth and offered something practical — is when I stopped being annoyed and started feeling okay about them.
So, not perfect: signage was weak, the screens and announcements failed, and the first staff we met could've tried harder. I've had smoother rides with other ferry lines and way worse with airports, so perspective helps. Still, the follow-up saved face. It’s not fair to call it flawless, but the company showed they could learn (or at least care). Small victory — I'll try them again, but I'll triple-check the gate this time.Midnight roll-on with a mutt
staff were calm, helpful, and they told us exactly where to wait and when to board, which honestly took a big weight off my shoulders. A few days before sailing they switched our outside cabin to an inside one. No drama — we were sailing overnight anyway — so that was fine. The downside on the outbound: the dog area was bleak. No turf, no real seating. Kind of sparse. On the way back, on the Trasmed Ciudad de Granada, things were nicer. Cabin again worked for the dog, and the outdoor spot had a small patch of fake grass and some tables where we could sit during the day. That made the return leg more relaxed. What stood out most was how organized the car queue and boarding were. People knew where to go, staff guided you, and we drove straight on like clockwork. Customer service was friendly and practical, not fake smiles but helpful folks. Would I do it again? Yeah, for sure. I was nervous from reading other reviews, but it turned out way better than I feared. Glad we went — and glad the dog survived the ferry life.
Halfway on the pier — chaotic start, decent trip
the cabin was clean, seats were comfy enough to nap in, the walk-on deck had a nice breeze and the crew were friendly and calm, which helped a lot. Rebooking wasn’t slick — it took a few calls and an extra fare — but staff on site did their best to help us find alternatives, and the replacement crossing was comfortable and uneventful. What I didn’t love was the lack of a timely heads-up about the change; an email or text would’ve saved a lot of stress. So yeah, not perfect, and it cost time and money to fix, but the boat itself and the people on board made the actual journey pleasant. I’d use them again if I had to, just with one lesson learned: double-check the schedule right before you leave and be ready for plan B. Small flaws, but workable.
