the stabilization behavior made lines crawl and “drop” like some weird animation, and turning the stabilizer up to what I normally use just made it worse. Frustrating. I emailed the UK support since I bought it there and asked for a refund. At first the rep was evasive, saying they don’t do full refunds, which felt like bad faith. After a bit of back-and-forth (I had to send proof of my rights and screenshots) they finally agreed to refund and I shipped the tablet back. Communication was slow and vague — “several working days” means nothing — but in the end they honored the refund. So I’m glad it didn’t turn into a long fight, even if the product and service weren’t great. Telling my friend who recommended it to skip it, but relieved it didn’t cost me in the end.
Pocket studio upgrade
this combo surprised me — I'm actually happy, even though I rolled my eyes at first. I got the XP-Pen Magic Drawing Pad a few months back because I wanted something portable, not one of those oversized pads that basically need a laptop. It was already great for sketching on the go, but adding the matching keyboard turned it into a proper little editing station. The keyboard is solid, feels weighty in a reassuring way, and the unit still closes up like a laptop — yes, it’s heavier with the keyboard, but I don’t mind. I came in skeptical since I’ve had cheap Bluetooth keyboards from other brands that missed keystrokes or rattled, so my expectations were low. After a short adjustment period I found typing to be comfy and editing much quicker. One annoying thing: sometimes keys double-type or add an extra space; it’s new hardware so maybe a firmware fix will sort it. Battery life’s been fine for me, too. Small gripe aside, I’m satisfied — a nice step up for mobile creators who also want decent typing.
