This was my first time flying from Manchester to Accra and let me tell you, it was pretty decent overall. The flight time worked out well for me and the price was competitive, which is what caught my eye when I was choosing which airline to go with. The service on the flight was good - the staff were attentive and they had a decent entertainment system to keep me entertained during the long haul. But let me tell you, the airport facilities in the 'Africa' terminals were a letdown. There weren't many food and drink options, only one shop available. That was a bummer because I was hoping for a better layover experience.
Purchased a flight ticket
I recently booked a flight with this company, and three days before my trip, I received an email saying that the flight was canceled and they offered a refund. I freaked out and end up booking a more expensive flight with another company. However, the next day I got another email saying that the flight was actually not canceled and I couldn't get a refund. When I reached out to customer service for help, they said they couldn't do anything since the flight was still on. The way they treated me was so bad. I won't be using this company again for sure. Just a heads up to anyone considering them.
Flight from Brussels Airlines to Monrovia
I recently took a flight with this airline from Brussels to Monrovia and it was awesome! The service was great and the crew was really nice. I always enjoy when they hand out snacks from Belgium, but I do miss having chocolates before landing. The selection of movies on the plane was a bit dull though, they should definitely up their game.
Long wait for check-in
The customer service was terrible! The people at the front desk were so unprofessional, it seemed like they never even talked to any passengers. They were just there, like they had no clue about how to help customers. The flight attendants were not any better - they were just plain rude! They made me feel trapped, like I was in some kind of prison. This was my third time flying with this airline, and things seem to be getting worse each time.
Flight experience from CPH to Brussels
My last time flying with this airline was a total letdown. The flight from CPH to Brussels was a complete mess. We got stuck waiting for hours because of a busted engine, and ended up being rerouted to Munich before finally getting to Brussels, a whole 12 hours later. The trip back from Brussels to CPH wasn't any better, with a bunch of delays messing up my plans and making me late by almost three hours. This kind of back-and-forth and not sticking to the schedule is just not cool for an airline.
Worst airplane experience
I had the worst flight ever with this airline. They decided to board us during a snowstorm and we ended up stuck on the plane for 5 hours without taking off. They wouldn't even let us leave the gate! After 3 hours, all they gave us was a tiny waffle and a couple of glasses of water. Can you believe they had the nerve to sell sandwiches instead of giving us some for free as an apology?

And the cherry on top? They didn't even put my bag on the plane, so now I'm dealing with lost luggage. Ugh, what a mess.
Lost luggage investigation
I would definitely recommend avoiding this airline! I had items go missing from my checked luggage back in January. It took them a whole 3 months to "investigate" and then they turned around and denied any responsibility for the loss. Needless to say, I won't be flying with them ever again!
Positive Experience with Brussels Airlines
I recently flew with Brussels Airlines for the first time and overall, I had a positive experience. The booking process was easy and straightforward on the website. The flight itself was comfortable and on-time. The in-flight service was also good, with friendly and attentive staff.
One aspect that I particularly appreciated was the variety of in-flight entertainment options. There was a good selection of movies, TV shows, and music to choose from, which helped to pass the time on the long flight.
However, one downside was the baggage fee. I was not aware that there would be a fee for checked baggage and it ended up costing me more than I had anticipated.
Overall, I would recommend Brussels Airlines to others. They provided a comfortable and efficient flying experience, and the in-flight entertainment options were a nice touch.
