I wasn’t expecting much when a friend first recommended this place and I’d only glanced at it on a booking app. It looked modern, so I gave it a shot. Check-in felt lively; the front desk crew is young and upbeat, and they actually helped with taxi calls right away. The moment I knew I was happy was after a quick swim and then a decent workout in a spotless gym — that sealed it for me. The room had some flaws though. Housekeeping missed a sweep once and toilet paper went missing, which was annoying. A waiter in the restaurant also made things awkward while I was eating, like he was trying too hard to impress. Still, the food itself was good. One annoying surprise was the nightly 1000 peso ‘insurance’ charge that didn’t pop up on the app. Small things aside, the hotel is modern, good value, and the water stations on each floor helped a lot. Overall, pleasantly surprised.
