Smooth booking, rough pickup
Booking was easy, but the pickup ruined it. Website works fine. At Flextogo the staff weren't great. They relied on their phones to translate and seemed lost. They later charged us for cleaning, which felt unfair. Orbit Car Hire handled the return perfectly, like other companies I’ve used.

Rough start but worth it
at Belfast airport a car behind us kept honking while we were entering the PIN, and the two guys in it seemed to be staff laughing. That felt unprofessional and put me on edge, but once past the barrier the trip went smoothly. I’ve had worse with other firms, so not a dealbreaker.
Nice car but surprise cleaning charge
Pulled into the lot late and honestly the car looked exactly like the photos — relieved. I hesitated before booking because I’d read about surprise fees from other rental places, and I half-expected the usual fine-print nonsense. Pick-up was fast and the staff were friendly, so a lot of my worries eased. The trip itself was great. That said, we still got dinged a €12 cleaning charge for a little dust on the mats even though I wiped things down (I mean, come on). So my suspicions about hidden fees weren't totally wrong. Overall I’d use them again, but be ready for extra charges.
Good car, short walk
Half a minute in the seat and I knew the Hyundai would do. I needed a reliable automatic for a five-day trip because my lower back flares up and I can't sit in awkward cars. Pickup was quick. No queue, no nonsense. Nikos went through the existing scratches and dents, pointed them out, which actually saved me from a headache later. The office is about 500 m from arrivals, so bring a wheeled suitcase — not ideal but not a dealbreaker. Car was modern and pleasant to drive. Felt relieved more than anything. Would rent from them again, probably.
Airport handoff that went sideways
30pm we were left to find a taxi to Narbonne, an hour away. It cost more than €250. I don’t like drama, but that was stressful and unnecessary. I contacted Orbit afterward. They’ve refused to refund our deposit and haven’t given a clear reason. Europcar told me the deposit should be refundable. Orbit’s answer was basically that “some Mastercard brands” don’t count and that Virgin is an online/virtual bank — which is not accurate. I called Virgin. They confirmed the account and the physical Mastercard, and said they’re backed by a proper bank. So now I’m out a big taxi bill and a deposit.
I reported the case to consumer regulators because I felt misled. The tone from Orbit felt defensive, not helpful. No real apology, no offer to help with the extra costs. That said, three days later I found another company, Enterprise, in Narbonne. They were cheaper, upgraded the car for free and accepted the same Virgin Mastercard with no fuss. So that restored some faith. Bottom line: the booking and the written instructions seemed fine. The on‑site delivery failed. Customer service from Orbit didn’t fix it. If you rely on delivery and clear handoffs — and you probably will if you’re traveling with vulnerable people — be cautious. Right in the middle of pickup I was thinking this might go south, but the car showed up on time and was exactly what Orbit promised. The delivery and handoff from Orbit were smooth, no fuss. The problem was the local counter — they kept dodging answers, pushing extra insurance, even charged a cleaning fee and said my daughter couldn't drive because the reservation was in her husband's name. We lost £120 and they tried to rent it again for almost £400. Sixt next door saved the day with a fair deal. Wish Orbit would screen partners better; check who’s staffing pickup.

I just rented a car from Orbit Car Hire and it was great! They got the car to me right on time, and I was so happy to see that it was brand new. The person who helped me out was super nice and made everything go really smoothly. They even left some little gifts in the car, which was a nice extra touch. Overall, it was a really good experience.
Easy booking process
I was really happy with how easy it was to book my rental car and the awesome price I got. The service was amazing, and I felt like they really cared about me as a customer. I will definitely be renting from them again in the future. The customer service at this car rental place at Alicante airport is just incredible, way better than other companies in the area.
Quick car rental experience
My experience renting a car was pretty good. The car I got was in awesome shape and the staff was really helpful. But man, when they hit me with the price for that extra insurance, I was shocked. It felt like they were trying to pull a fast one on me, and honestly, it kind of turned me off. I get that insurance is necessary, but what they were asking for was just way too much.
Picked up by Jimmy, old car but cheap, no problems, got deposit back, would recommend!
Jimmy gave us a ride to the airport, which was pretty nice. The car was a little old, but hey, it was affordable so no big deal. It worked fine, so no complaints on that end. When we brought back the car, they gave us our deposit back right away. All in all, I'd say it was a good experience and I’d recommend them to my friends.
