I tried the top right away — fits okay, soft enough for weekend errands and lounging, holds shape after a couple washes. Delivery came when expected, but surprise import fees on top of the shipping really dulled the deal; felt like extra sting. Product works fine, not flawless, and I’ll probably buy local next time.
Shipping surprise sunk it
I actually spotted this brand on Instagram after a friend recommended it, and I hesitated because of the shipping notes — seemed steep. I still ordered; loved the style, thought the $50 shipping charge would be the end of it. Then UPS asked me for another $30 and apparently Poster Girl passed that on. That extra fee killed the joy of the buy. Product was fine, but that surprise ruined it.
Left scrambling with one suit
Backstage, ten minutes before the show, I found we only had one catsuit instead of the two I ordered. I had already tried the one — fits okay, stretch is decent, fabric feels light and a bit slippery (not terrible), zipper's sticky though. That single piece would’ve been fine if I’d only needed one, but I needed two for styling my dancers. Customer service eventually said it wasn’t their fault and refused a refund, and replies took days. Pretty frustrating and honestly left me scrambling; would shop elsewhere next time.
Sour exchange experience
I won't buy from them again. I ordered a latex set that was clearly too snug (latex being latex), so I asked to exchange it — simple, right? When they got the return they wrote back that the piece was "dirty" even though I only slipped it on for a minute to check the fit. That felt off, like an accusation out of nowhere. Then they told me I'd have to pay to have it shipped back to me if I wanted it returned, which is odd and pretty unfriendly for a first-time customer. I've had swaps go smoother with other brands, so this stood out. I felt dismissed and annoyed. It's disappointing and left a bad taste; probably avoid unless you like hassle. Not a great customer experience.
Broken promises cost me time and product — be cautious
the collaboration didn’t happen the way it was promised, and I ended up out of pocket and out of pieces. I went into this excited — I liked the vibe, they reached out, and I trusted the back-and-forth. That trust is what got me to handmake and send several pieces, but the exposure that was guaranteed never really showed up.
Almost avoided a meltdown
I'm relieved it didn't blow up into something worse, but the whole experience was a proper stress bump right before baby time. I ordered a much larger size on purpose because, well, unborn-bump math — figured I'd actually wear it. The item showed up late, so the outfit never made it to the event I bought it for. That sucked. I called to sort it out and got told there’s no returns on sale items. I explained, calmly-ish, that I'm due any day and won't be this size again, and that this was more than a wardrobe gripe. The rep — Parrisa — basically stuck to the script: no flexibility, no goodwill. It felt rigid and kind of cold, especially after six years of me buying from them and spending quite a bit. I work in a place where we try to bend for loyal customers in odd situations, so maybe I'm spoiled, but the difference was striking. I'm grateful it didn't spiral — I had a backup outfit and some friends who cheered me up — but still, being dismissed like that while waddling around in late-pregnancy mode was not great. If I could give one tip to the company: train for empathy and maybe make an exception now and then. To other shoppers: order earlier if it's important, and maybe don't count on flexibility if something is on sale. I’d hoped for a little human touch; instead I got policy. Still glad everything ended okay on the home front, but honestly, they could do better here.
