Types of Reviews

At US-Reviews, consumers have various avenues to leave a review. The two most common methods are through organic means and company invitations. Reviews can be posted by anyone, even if they don't have a user account. These comprise the primary types of reviews on our platform.

Organic Reviews from Consumers

The majority of our reviews are organically generated by consumers. These users have purchased a product or service from a company and chosen to share their opinions independently, without any external prompts.

Such reviews are spontaneously written by consumers who have bought a product or service. They choose to share their experiences on the platform without any influence from the business. These reviews hold significant value because they offer:

  • Voluntary Action: The decision to leave a review is entirely the consumer's choice.
  • Independent Experience: There is no external encouragement or incentive from the company driving the consumer to write a review.
  • Genuine Feedback: These reviews are typically viewed as highly authentic since they stem from the consumer's genuine desire to share their experience, whether it is positive or negative.

Reviews via Company Invitation

Companies on US-Reviews can also invite their customers to leave a review. In this case, the companies encourage customers to post reviews on our platform. This is permitted as long as the reviews remain fair and objective.

In this scenario, companies take an active role by sending invitations to customers to share their feedback. This initiative is driven by the company's desire to collect opinions on their products or services. These reviews are characterized by the following elements:

  • Solicited Participation: The company sends out invitations asking customers to review their experiences.
  • Maintained Neutrality: Although companies can request reviews, they must ensure the process stays unbiased and doesn't affect the review's content.
  • Impartiality and Honesty: It’s essential for these solicited reviews to remain impartial. Companies must not influence the nature of the feedback, ensuring customers feel free to offer honest and candid opinions.
