    Halfway-ride relief

smooth, steady power. Funny thing is, that clarity came after a headache. At delivery everything looked fine, but assembly revealed problems: the display kept shutting off, the speed meter was useless, and a crack at the rear wheel mount had me calling a local shop. The shop manager wrote everything down and repaired a stripped support and replaced a bracket; they did a proper tune-up. The seller's response was clumsy — they sent a few parts, dragged their feet on a return, then agreed to a partial reimbursement after back-and-forth. The turning point was the ride home post-repair: the bike felt right, my commute became easy, grocery stops were no problem, and weekend rides felt fun again. Not gonna sugarcoat it — the purchase process was messy — but once the pro shop fixed it and I got a bit of money back, I was genuinely satisfied. Tip: have a local mechanic check it when it arrives.

Sat by the door too long

the frame feels solid and the motor, when it works, pulls nicely — that was a surprise and not what I expected from the whole mess. Still, having to shell out cash for a brand new bike and dealing with repeated requests for more footage was frustrating. My solution was to replace the parts myself, leave reviews everywhere I could, and hope someone in the company actually reads them and fixes their process.

Worked great, then slowly fell apart

arrived within the two-day window but the box had a couple dents and the quick-start booklet was missing, so I had to improvise. Then, after about two years, things started breaking every few weeks — small stuff at first, then the lights, and finally the battery began dying mid-ride (super sketchy when you're in traffic). I emailed support multiple times, tried chat and phone, left voicemails—crickets. Now they want something like $800 for a replacement battery. The bike still works when it works, and I like how it rides, but the missing support and slow/so-so delivery experience make it more trouble than it's worth. If you care about backup service, look elsewhere or be ready to fix things yourself.

The box told a different story

product OK, but the buying and aftercare were a mess. If you’re considering them, document everything, use a card or Amazon protection, and be prepared to chase refunds. I wish they had been clearer and more responsive — a few honest emails would have saved a lot of time. Mildly useful product, poor delivery/refund handling and spotty customer service.

Clutch mess left me parked — almost lost a sale

I'm not buying another bike from them until their support gets its act together. I started using the V7 (52V, 1200W) for my daily commute and loved the punch — until the clutch began slipping under load. That’s where the whole thing went sideways. I ordered what I thought would be a simple replacement, paid out of pocket even though the bike was under warranty (long story), and assumed I’d be back riding in a few days. Instead I got two wrong parts and about a month of polite-but-useless emails. Quick context on timing: this all started right after a two-week stretch of heavy use — commuting, errands, that sort of thing. First impression of the company was okay: their website looked fine, checkout was straightforward, shipping labels showed movement. I was grateful they had the part in stock and even more glad the motor itself hadn’t failed catastrophically — that would have been a nightmare. So yeah, it could have been worse, and I’m happy it wasn’t, but that’s about where the positives stop. The replacement part arrived and at first glance it was clean and nicely packaged. But mechanically it was wrong — the clutch free-spun in the opposite direction of the one I removed. That’s not a subtle defect; it simply won’t work. I took pictures, recorded a short video, and sent them everything. Multiple times. Each time I got close to being understood, a new agent picked up the thread and asked me to resend the same files or run through the exact same checks. It felt like being passed back to square one over and over. After two or three weeks of this, I thought maybe it was a one-off: packing error, someone grabbed the wrong item. So I bought a second planetary gear with the clutch, hoping the third time would be the charm. Nope — same wrong orientation again. So now I’ve spent my own money twice for a part that doesn’t fit, and the bike sits largely unusable. Emails slowed to nothing, and phone contact wasn’t any better. At that point they basically stopped replying. The odd thing, and the part I’m willing to be generous about: they did ship something, and the parts themselves are decent quality if they were the right orientation. The gears looked fine, tolerances seemed reasonable, bearings and finish were okay. I’m glad they’re not poorly made, because then I’d be dealing with a different kind of problem. But the core issue — the clutch being reversed — is a fundamental mismatch. It’s not subtle; if you’ve ever serviced a hub motor you can tell immediately. I tried to explain that. I gave context that I’ve worked on hub motors before, not to brag, but to show I wasn’t inventing the problem. Instead I got replies that didn’t address the core complaint and one that even said “the gears look good” and they’d close the ticket. That was frustrating. I get that front-line support may not know every detail about rare parts, but the level of back-and-forth without resolution was still disappointing. The result: I canceled plans to buy a new A8 dual-motor model I was considering. I had told myself I’d let them fix this clutch issue first — if they solved it, I’d proceed. Now I’m glad I paused. I’m not without sympathy — mis-picks happen, people make mistakes — but the lack of ownership and slow, circular customer service turned a manageable problem into a deal-breaker. Honestly, I’m thankful the motor itself didn’t get damaged and that the parts weren’t cheaply made. I’m also grateful I caught the issue early and didn’t install the wrong clutch and ruin the motor. Still, the experience left me annoyed and hesitant: good hardware, bad follow-through. If they improve customer support and train people to actually read the pictures and tests customers send, I’d consider giving them another shot. For now I’m taking my money elsewhere.
