this thing does what I needed without fuss, and at the price it’s hard to beat. I first saw it in a handful of YouTube reviews and on a Facebook thread where a mate nudged me to buy it — so that’s where I started. People kept moaning about the screen brightness in reviews, but after a couple months I honestly haven’t run into a real-world problem with it, so don’t let that put you off. I went for the BM7 7-inch unit (big, yes, but I think the larger screen was worth the few extra bucks) and it doesn’t block the GS1300 display, which was a relief. Installation on my GS1300 was straightforward. The sticky pads for the cameras worked fine — one tucked under the beak, the other just above the rear radar — lots of cable to play with, and routing was easy. Pro tip: use a long thin stick to get the cable to the back; I used a golf alignment stick and it saved time. Whole job took me under 15 minutes. Camera footage looks good in 1080p and playback is stable, no jitter from where I mounted them. The unit is simple to operate, even with gloves on, and it has a rear mirror mode that’s actually useful. CarPlay runs over Wi‑Fi and feels smooth, no stuttering; that also means my intercom and bike’s systems aren’t tied up, so navigation directions come through my Fodsport Bluetooth fine. Support wasn’t all hype either — I had a firmware quirk (no MPH toggle out of the box) and Nikki from support sorted it quickly by sending a firmware file. So yeah, not perfect, but for the money and features it’s a sensible buy. I’m not sponsored, paid full retail, and I’d tell a friend to get one.
Mostly solid kit, small annoyances
I stumbled on this kit in a moto Facebook group and tipped my buddy. The full BX with blind-spot sensors feels solid, heavy-duty — plugs snap in nicely. The instructions are a bit sketchy though, so expect trial and error; labels on the cables save the day. I wired the rear radar to my HealTech ThunderBox for switched power. Cables are long, so plan your routing. Shipping was two weeks; Estella was helpful, gave a discount and I appreciated it.
Fixed, thanks to Coco
it's fixed and I'm glad — support saved me. I needed this dashcam for daily commuting since my old ones never showed speed or GPS, and I wanted a reliable record. The camera wouldn't record while on Android Auto and speed/coords were missing. I reached out and Coco walked me through the right settings and stayed on it till it worked. Not flawless — there’s a little reconnect glitch sometimes — but it records fine now and I’m happy.
Not what I expected
a power lead gave up after a couple weeks. Annoying, sure, but customer service handled it. Nikki at support was very helpful, asked the right questions, sent the right cable, and it arrived quick enough that I barely missed a weekend. So my initial doubts faded — partly because the hardware works and partly because people actually fix problems when they pop up. Would I buy again? Yeah. Not flashy, but honest and reliable, and that’s what I needed.
Long commute, short patience
the TPMS failed, the camera recordings went soft and fuzzy, and the system kept telling me there was “No SD Card” even though the card worked fine on my laptop. We had a pro mechanic install it, so I’m not talking DIY mistakes. Every fix seemed to open another problem a few days later. Support asked me to send the device back to China for repair, which would mean nearly a month out of service while my bike sits with exposed wiring — not acceptable for daily use. The customer rep Nikki was assigned and she tried, she really did, but the fixes were temporary and the back-and-forth didn’t solve much. Delivery-wise, the return/shipping timeline they proposed is what worries me most; that long window makes the whole solution impractical. On the plus side, when it worked it did what it promised — TPMS alerts and video are useful — but the instability and the hassle of repeated troubleshooting outweigh that. I’m leaning toward asking for a refund instead of waiting on a repair. In short: product has potential, customer service tries but the process and delivery/repair plan are currently a dealbreaker for my daily-commute needs.
