    Nice-feel, worthless guarantee

don’t trust that “7-day, no-questions” promise. I ordered the Baseus PicoGo and unboxed it the morning it arrived. First impression: it looked and felt oddly premium and that magnet was surprisingly strong — I actually liked that. Then it wouldn’t turn on. Dead right out of the box. I emailed support a few times and they asked for a video to prove it. I tried — the smallest video I could make was still too big for their email. Felt like running in circles. I kept compressing, resending, following instructions, but it never got easier. So yeah, cool design, great magnet, but the return process killed it for me. Won’t risk another purchase unless they fix this.

    Tracking nightmare

10% back and a 15% off code for next time. No thanks — a tiny refund and a coupon won't fix wrong color or poor fit, and I wasn't going to reorder. They then gave me a return address overseas. I paid about $35 to ship it back internationally. The package sat in Chinese customs for over six months. Finally it came back to me marked "insufficient address." At that point I suspected the address was wrong on purpose to dodge a full refund. The whole process felt like a loop. If you're thinking of buying, expect delivery delays and push for prepaid returns. A better returns policy would help.

Mixed feelings — camera works, shipping did not

the camera itself actually does what I wanted — I set it up in the living room to keep an eye on the dog and sometimes the front door, and the picture is decent, night mode ok, app is mostly responsive (a little lag now and then). But the whole buying experience left a sour taste. On the site it showed free shipping for Europe over a certain amount, my cart was well above that, and then I get hit with an extra HK$214 via PledgeBox. Support stuck to a weird rule about “multi-unit bundles” that was never visible where the free shipping badge was, and their reply was a small voucher instead of fixing the charge. They even changed parts of the site after the fact, which felt like covering tracks. So product: useful day-to-day, does the job. Service and checkout: messy and frustrating, definitely not smooth. I reported it to consumer help because hidden fees are the last thing you want when you’re just trying to secure your home. Order ID: BSIPC7214

    Return Runaround

I'm done buying from AliExpress and Baseus — not worth the stress. I ordered a pair of Baseus Bowie earbuds last week and the active noise canceling didn't work at all, even after the usual resets and installing the companion app to fiddle with settings. I opened a return because the listing implied free returns, but Baseus replied saying I have to pay postage myself — roughly the same amount as the earbuds — and they even sent their address in Chinese without bothering to translate it. Contacting AliExpress support felt like talking to a bot: copy‑paste replies, calls me 'dear' and keeps asking for screenshots of their own policy page while dragging the case out. I checked other reviews and people complained they never got the return shipping refunded, or only got a partial refund from Baseus. I filed a dispute with PayPal, though I've read people who didn't get much help there either, so I'm not optimistic. I've had hassle-free returns from other companies before, so this stands out as unusually poor. I'm annoyed and a bit tired of the back-and-forth, and honestly this will be the last time I risk ordering from either of them. Just a lesson learned, not worth the headache. Hope someone fixes their return policy soon.

Not the bachelorette outfit I pictured

the return policy and who pays for it. When I finally complained, they said I’d have to pay return shipping back to China, or accept 20% off a future order. Future order? No way. Asking me to pay more than half my purchase to ship junk back is ridiculous and was the one detail that made me decide this was not worth continuing. The rompers were cheap, sizes didn’t match, and the pictures online were misleading. I did tip the groom’s sister to avoid this seller after that, in case anyone asks — I told her to look elsewhere. Emotionally, it was just disappointing more than anything; I was annoyed and kind of embarrassed at the last minute scramble to find something else. If you spot this brand on social, be cautious — long delays, shaky tracking, and a return policy that effectively traps you into keeping an item or paying steep overseas shipping.

    Slow charger, shady support

with my Anker 336 charger and an iPhone 16, my usual cable went from 30% to 80% in half an hour. The Baseus cable? Barely made the same jump in over an hour. So that’s the thing I want to call out: it’s simply not fast in my setup, and that matters when I’m out and need a quick top‑up between meetings or on a short drive.
I reached out to support expecting some troubleshooting or at least a clear answer. Instead I waited more than a day for any reply, and when they did answer it contradicted the product page — they said it isn’t a fast‑charging cable. They also asked me to drain the phone to 0%–60% to file a complaint, which felt off given Apple’s own guidance to test 30%–80% for health. When I suggested the safer range, they basically refused to run tests based on that. The rep even called MFi certification a “gimmick,” which made me question the product standard.
On top of that, the micro‑USB head on the cable didn’t work for me. I was asked to send video proof before they’d accept anything, like my word suddenly didn’t count. The tone was kind of dismissive, a bit sarcastic at times. I don’t like sounding dramatic about a cable, but it’s annoying: you buy something that promises a feature, it fails, and then customer service makes the whole thing harder.
I still use it occasionally for slow charging, and it’s fine for cables that don’t need to be fast, but I wouldn’t rely on it for quick top‑ups. Wouldn’t order directly from that site again without better support assurances.
