I’d buy from them again, but don’t expect perfect. I’ve been using a mix of their kit for several months now — started with the core units and added more as I tested them — and overall they do what they promise, reliably. First impressions during unboxing were good: solid feel, straightforward setup, nothing fancy but not flimsy either. I bought a couple of Apex 300-style modules with matching B-type batteries, a D1 hub and an extra charger, then later picked up a 350W solar panel and a backpack-style pack meant for hands-free shooting. I even grabbed two compact units as gifts because they’re so easy to use. Why not perfect? Delivery and courier handling have been hit-or-miss where I live, and a few times getting answers took longer than I’d like. Their online communities and country Facebook groups are genuinely useful — that’s what pushed me from considering another brand to sticking with this one. Price feels fair for what you get, though it’s not bargain-basement. Emotionally, I’m pleased — a bit relieved, actually — since I wanted gear that just works for backup at home and for the motorhome. Practical, mostly trouble-free, worth recommending to others who want decent power without fuss.
Worth a shot — actually pretty solid
I’d buy Bluetti stuff again. I was kinda wary at first because I’d read a bunch of grumpy reviews, but after using their gear for a few years my view flipped from skeptical to “yeah, this works.” I first noticed a setup at a neighbor’s place during a long outage and thought it looked promising, so I ended up getting a couple of units and even told my sister about them later. The reason I say buy again is simple: reliability and the customer service follow-through. Over time I put together a backup system that covers most of our essentials and it handled a nasty storm without drama. One unit did get damaged by wind-driven debris and Bluetti’s support replied quickly, honored the warranty, and arranged replacements faster than I expected — not perfect, but definitely better than the usual CS horror stories you hear. Day-to-day they’re easy to use, charging with our solar array and keeping things running, and I’ve learned to size the panels so they actually keep up with daytime usage. A couple of small annoyances: sometimes the app is a little laggy, and initial setup needed a bit of fiddling to get everything talking to each other. Still, those are minor compared to having steady power when you need it. If you’re thinking about a solar backup, do your homework on how much load you’ll run and match the panels to the station — that’s the part people underestimate. I’ve recommended Bluetti to friends and family, and most ended up happy too. So yeah, start skeptical like I did, but expect to be pleasantly surprised if you size and set it up right.
Weird shipping circus
Okay, quick story — I ordered something because my bad back made the whole apartment feel like a medieval torture device and I needed this ASAP for moving day. They charged my card $7,500 up front, then told me a tiny cord was out of stock and they wouldn’t ship anything until it arrived. Fine, whatever. A month later I asked to cancel and instead of a simple “done,” I got an email saying one item shipped. I call, talk to someone (Uli? Uly? no last name) and suddenly they want to charge me to cancel. Then two more shipping emails appear right after the call. Felt like watching a comedy where the punchline is my bank account. Customer service was jerky and confusing, delivery promises were false, and I’m still out a lot of money. I’ll be escalating this — BBB and all that. Wouldn’t recommend if you need clear communication or a refund that actually happens.
Late-night lifesaver, kinda
quiet, easy to plug in, and it kept the essentials going through two long outages, which honestly felt like a relief. That said, getting it was a bit of a headache. Shipping took way longer than I expected and there was almost no useful communication from the seller — just the vague, “we’re sorry” chats that don’t fix anything. Also, I never got the loyalty points they promised, which is annoying but not a dealbreaker. So yeah, it’s not flawless: slow delivery and spotty customer support. But when the lights went out at 2 a.m. and the fridge stayed cold, I was really glad I had this unit. For my situation — moving and needing something back-friendly — it worked out and I’d recommend it with some caution.
Wire transfer red flag, good product maybe
said they’d escalate it, that the payment was pending on their side, and promised to ship within two business days now that I’d called. I also called my bank, which confirmed the money had already left my account and was sent to the company. So there was conflicting info.
Then the rep came back and said I’d actually be refunded in 3–5 business days. So I’m left wondering why I was told to wire money, why the order was "held for my protection," and why their systems would ask for a wire when they accept card payments online. It feels like an unnecessary hurdle — and a possible way to push customers into paying extra fees.
Bottom line: product looks legit and the support did respond, but the whole payment/cancellation/wire transfer episode was poor. They corrected course and promised a refund, which is something, but it didn’t resolve the trust issue for me. If you’re considering buying, be cautious, document everything, and insist on a clear explanation before you wire anything. This could have been smoother — it wasn’t.Delivery mix-up, decent hardware
mostly automated replies and very slow follow-up. When I finally reached someone on a Monday they said they'd escalate to another team with a 24-hour response window — that turned into a week of waiting and stress. In the end the package was delivered, just not to me. Oddly enough, I was pleasantly surprised that the battery itself performs well — a friend at the delivery address tried it and said it powered their solar setup reliably. So, good product but terrible ordering and delivery experience. My tip: double-check the address and push for a live agent right away.
Tailgate test turned into backup lifesaver
it feels solid and honestly kind of reassuring — not plasticky, more like built-for-use. The LCD makes it easy to see what's happening, though I did squint a couple times at the smaller numbers. Charging from wall and car was straightforward; panels (I got them separately) worked well but full solar charge depends on the sun, as you'd expect — some afternoons were fast, others slower. It handled the mini fridge, laptop, a couple of lights and my CPAP without drama, and it’s way quieter than any gas generator I've used. Downsides: it's bulky, so hauling it around is a workout, and the price is higher than some alternatives. Also, the fan kicked in under heavy load which was noticeable, not loud but there. Service and delivery were fine, no surprises. For me, the doubts about reliability and actual capacity faded once I saw it run through a full night of CPAP and still had charge in the morning. Not perfect, but solid and useful — I’d buy it again, just might ask for help carrying it. Also note panels often sold separately and the app could be smoother.
Portable Solar Generator
I was really impressed with the Portable Solar Generator I bought. It went above and beyond what I expected in terms of how reliable and functional it is. It's really great because it can power multiple devices at once, which makes it perfect for when I'm out camping or if I need a backup power source at home. I love that I can hook it up to solar panels for eco-friendly charging, and it's cool that I can also charge it using an AC outlet or in the car. The fact that it's tough but still easy to move around is a big plus for me since I enjoy spending time in nature. The LCD screen is super helpful because it gives me real-time updates on how much power I'm using, the battery level, and how quickly it's charging. It's been able to handle all my power needs, including running my laptop, camera, fridge, and even my CPAP machine, without any problems. The best part is that it's way quieter than a regular gas generator.
