Weird vibe, great sneakers — mixed feelings March 16, 2026

I walked in juggling a coffee and gift-wrap ideas, just trying to pick out sneakers for my wife, and the whole visit felt... off. The shoes themselves are really nice — the leather and stitching look solid, they feel special when she wears them around the neighborhood and even on her commute — but the staff interaction was the low point. Right when we arrived a few employees suddenly hovered near the register and one person acted like they were rearranging things by the door, which put a weird cloud over the whole thing. I stuck it out mostly because it was close to the holiday and she really wanted them. After paying (yes, expensive), a manager spoke to me in a brusque way that made me bite my tongue. I tried to stay calm.
A few days later we had to go back for a size exchange and the same sales associate was there, still curt with us — and our six-year-old was along for the trip, so that made it even more awkward. That’s when I finally spoke up. I don’t want to make drama, but I also don’t want to be treated like I don’t belong. On the plus side, the exchange was handled and the replacement pair fits perfectly; my wife wears them a lot now and they’ve held up. So yeah, not perfect — excellent product, shaky customer experience. I probably won’t go back to that specific store because of the vibe, but the shoes themselves are worth considering if you can look past the in-store nonsense.
