There I was, tugging at the skirt on my couch, thinking "this feels way nicer than the picture." A friend sent me the link after she raved about it, and when it arrived the fabric felt substantial and seams sat nicely — not itchy, drapey. I even goofed and mailed a return to the brand by mistake; customer support tracked it down and offered to resend it to the other shop. Really relieved and grateful.
Surprisingly great fit
I pulled it on and thought, wow — this feels way nicer than the photo. The fabric is soft but has a nice structure, and it sits where it should without feeling stiff. I wore it to a rehearsal and felt solid the whole time. I did mess up a return once and used the wrong QR, but they found the dress and even offered to forward it to the other shop because I was on a deadline. Really glad it worked out.
Box shock
I actually hesitated to even try this on — the dress arrived looking like it had been sat on, stomped on, and left to dry in a heap. The satin felt crushed in places, almost crunchy, like the fibers had been smashed together; steaming softened it a bit but didn’t bring the drape or sheen back. For something I bought for a birthday, that tactile feel mattered more than I expected. I sent a photo right away and waited. Customer service finally replied... slowly, and the advice was basically “steam it” — which, yes, I tried, and no, that didn’t fix the deep creases or the weird fold marks near the seams. I asked about return postage because it clearly wasn’t just transit creases; that was ignored. I’ve had much better luck with other brands — John Lewis/Adrianna Papell, for example, felt tailored and smooth straight out of the box for the same price. I’m skeptical and annoyed, but also willing to change this if the company actually offers a proper remedy. For now, just be cautious buying something for a single event; fabric feel and condition matter.
Birthday dress disappointment
I opened the box on my birthday morning and at first thought, huh, nice packaging—then I pulled the dress out and it was a mess. Saw the style on Instagram and a friend actually recommended the brand, so I took the gamble. The satin itself felt smooth and kind of cool against the skin, weighty in a decent way, and the cut on me was flattering. But the way it arrived ruined that first impression. The fabric was crushed into these deep, chaotic folds, not normal shipping creases. I sent photos right away and the reply was slow and basically “steam it.” I steamed it, over and over, and while some things eased out, the worst creasing stayed. Customer service went quiet after that. I asked about return postage because the condition was unacceptable and only got the same steaming advice, then silence. So it worked enough to wear if you’re desperate and don’t mind the battle scars, but it shouldn’t have needed that fight. FYI, I’ve had a similar dress from a department store that arrived flawless for the same price. If they fix the customer service and packaging, I’d reconsider, otherwise I’ll be steering friends away.
Hooked after one wedding
I'm hooked — wore one to a cousin's wedding and kept getting stopped for compliments. I must say this is one of the best shop for her .
