    Snug fit, blurry right eye

    Halfway through putting them in I actually grinned — they went in easy and felt snug, which was a nice surprise. But when I left the house my right eye went weirdly blurry, like walking with one lens taped over, so I couldn't really move around safely. I reached out to customer support and got a kind of dismissive reply, asking me to get an eye doctor's note — felt cheeky, since they sell these as safe. They also charged over £30 for two pairs and won't sell single lenses. If you're tempted, double check the prescription and maybe don't trust the fit.

    the lenses burned my eye and customer service ghosted me, so I’m not thrilled. I wear contacts every day — commuting, staring at a screen for work, gym — so I rely on them. These arrived on time and looked normal, but as soon as I popped the right one in I got a sharp burning sensation that forced me to pry my eye open and take it out. My eye stayed irritated and my vision was kinda hazy for about three days, so I was too nervous to try the other lens. I emailed support once, then again when I heard nothing, and still no response. I get that random reactions happen, and the lens itself might be fine for someone else, but the lack of any help or even a reply is the real issue. I’d like to swap brands or at least get guidance, but right now I’m just worried I’m out over £100. Decent product potential, poor follow-through.

    Unexpected sting and radio silence

    I'm sticking with Lenstore. I've ordered from them for years because they deliver fast — which matters when you wake up and realize you're out of lenses and need them tomorrow. That’s not compensation for a failed delivery; it’s a sales nudge dressed up as compensation. Because of the delay I had to spend extra money (£66) at Specsavers for emergency lenses (I’ve bought from them before and this was a rare first‑time experience with this other retailer). In the end I insisted on a full refund — which I got, but only after a lot of pushing. The surprising bit was how quickly Royal Mail handled the initial stages; their scans were clear and prompt, which made the retailer’s silence stand out even more. Overall, the product itself was fine and the refund sorted eventually, but the customer service approach and misleading “credit” left a bad impression. If they had taken responsibility quickly or at least reached out proactively, this could’ve been a one‑email hiccup instead of a drawn‑out hassle. I won’t be returning.

While this was dragging on I had to pay for emergency lenses elsewhere, which hit my wallet. Eventually I did get a full refund, but only after I pushed for it. So yeah, they fixed it in the end, but it took effort. On the plus side, the refund was processed and customer service eventually responded, just slowly and defensively. I’m not going to pretend everything was smooth. Communication was the main problem. The product itself was fine — I ended up buying a replacement locally that worked — but the experience left a sour taste. If they had re-dispatched automatically or been clearer about what their “store credit” actually meant, this would have been a much smaller annoyance. I might try them again someday if they sort out their communication, but for now I’m sticking with the company I used before. Not terrible, but not what I expect when a site promises next day delivery.
