Disappointing algorithm selections
I've been using Stitch Fix for years and it was awesome... until now. It seems like they're depending too much on their algorithm these days. They keep sending me the same stuff, even though I've given them feedback. The clothes start feeling really boring and I see the same pieces all around town. Plus, after hearing about how they treat their employees and with more competition out there, I decided to close my account. I'd rather spend my money somewhere that appreciates me and makes me happy.
Long-term subscription
I've been a subscriber for over four years now, and I've mostly enjoyed my time with the service. I've always struggled to find clothes that fit me just right, so that's why I signed up in the first place. Lately though, I've noticed that the selection of items has been getting kind of repetitive, especially with the prints. The clothes are really good quality, but I feel like I keep getting the same kind of styles sent to me. The pre-selection option has helped a bit, but I still end up with a lot of the same stuff each season. For instance, I got the same dress in the same print two seasons in a row. I think this service is great for newbies trying to figure out their style, but for long-time customers like me, it might not be the best choice.
Clothing delivery service
I absolutely love when my clothes are delivered to me. They always nail my style, and if there's ever a mistake, they fix it so quickly! I've been a customer for years and every time I receive my box, I feel like a total fashionista!
Stitch Fix Is A Real Company
Stitch Fix is a real company. I have used Stitch Fix for over 3 years and have had no issues with them. I return what I don't want to buy. These clothes are not free, and you don't get the box for the $20 monthly service fee. It is clearly stated that the $20 will be deducted from the total price of the box if you choose to purchase it. Most boxes run from $150-$250 per box. You can keep 1 or 2 pieces (you will pay full price for individual items), keep the whole box (getting a 30% discount of total price and $20 deducted from total), or return the whole box (comes with prepaid return envelope). High quality clothing but the boxes can be pricey depending upon the items inside.
About Stitch Fix
Stitch Fix, Inc. is an American online personal styling service founded in 2011 by Katrina Lake. It combines data analytics with human judgment to provide personalized clothing selections tailored to individual customer preferences, sizes, and needs. Users complete a detailed style profile, and Stitch Fix stylists then send them a curated box of clothing, shoes, and accessories, from which they can purchase their favorites and return the rest. The company leverages a mix of algorithms and professional stylists to optimize customer satisfaction. Initially focused on women’s clothing, it has since expanded to include men’s, children’s, and plus-size clothing markets. Stitch Fix went public in 2017, offering its shares on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol SFIX.
