I'd steer clear — they change the rules depending on who walks in. We showed up with a bunch of people at the Orlando desk in Playa del Inglés and, surprise, “foreign-looking” folks were suddenly asked for a €300 deposit. Which is weird, because their website (and even a poster on the wall) clearly says that with full insurance you don’t need to leave a deposit or credit card. The guy behind the counter shrugged and called the poster “old” — fun fact: the same office rented to us last week and we didn’t have to leave any deposit then. So either the rules flip-flop daily or someone’s making ad-hoc decisions based on appearance. Felt pretty low-key discriminatory, and yeah, it annoyed me — not dramatic, just unfair. We’ve rented from a few other places on the island before and never had this kind of selective policy, so maybe this is an Orlando-only thing. I get that companies have policies, but either update the sign or stop enforcing phantom rules. If you don’t want the hassle, go to another counter — less awkward, less guessing, and no surprise €300 request. Small rant, but there it is.
Rough pickup but booking was easy
the confirmation emails looked fine, clear time and pickup point. Reality was messier. No one waiting, no signs, and people crowding the arrivals area. We waited, wandered the curb, called them—short calls that barely said “yes, airport, wait” and then silence. After eight calls and about an hour and a half we were tired, hungry and decided to cancel by phone. That part felt awkward; they said they'd request a refund through the app-agency but it wasn't instant. We ended up renting from the desk inside the terminal because we had to get moving, which cost way more. So yeah, stress. On the plus side, the booking itself was easy and all my documents were in the app; that saved time when I had to rebook. Communication could be a lot better — clearer pickup signs, or someone on the line who actually tells you what's happening. After a bunch of emails and in-app complaints there was at least some response, though slow. Not perfect, and not the smooth meet-and-greet I expected, but if you plan for a backup and keep your patience, the system can still work out. If they tighten up the pickup routine I’d happily try them again. For now, bring snacks and patience.
