I get why people like the idea of putting money into real estate through Crowdstreet, but my own experience hasn't been good. I put a lot of money in, and unfortunately, some of the sponsors didn't come through like they said they would. One sponsor I trusted ended up losing me $10,000. I know times are tough right now because of things like COVID-19, so it's not a huge shock if investments don't go as planned. But what really bothers me is that Crowdstreet seems to lack good management and direction, leading to the problems I've faced. With a decent chunk of my money tied up in real estate stocks, I can't ignore the issues I've had with Crowdstreet.
