PocketFinder: A Solid GPS Tracking Option
I recently purchased a PocketFinder device for my teenager who has a habit of not always answering her phone or responding to texts. I had high hopes for this product as it claimed to be a reliable way to track her location and ensure her safety.
The setup process was fairly easy, although the instructions were a bit confusing at times. I had to download the app and create an account, then pair the PocketFinder device with my phone. Once that was done, I was able to see my teenager's location on a map in real-time.
The location tracking seemed to be accurate for the most part, although there were a few times when it showed her in a completely different location than where she actually was. It was also a bit frustrating that I could only see her location in the app and couldn't access it on a computer or other device.
One of the features I was most excited about was the ability to set up "safe zones" and receive notifications if the PocketFinder device left those zones. However, I found that the notifications were not very reliable and I often didn't receive them until long after the device had left the designated area.
Overall, I was somewhat disappointed with the PocketFinder. While it did provide some peace of mind knowing I could track my teenager's location, the reliability issues and lack of consistent notifications left me feeling uncertain about its effectiveness.
