Review about: iVisa
Two Digital Arrival Cards for Malaysia. Order No 1113602
I ONLY used the iVisa service because a button marked 'Apply for Digital Arrival Card' appeared on the MAS Check-in webpage. NO mention of charges of $69.98 appeared until I had already completed the application forms. NOWHERE on the iVisa sight did the information that the DACs could be obtained elsewhere free of charge appear.
I applied at 19:00 on 19/10/'24. Early the next day I heard from a fellow traveller. She had also been charged for her DAC, by a different company, having clicked on the same button on the MAS webpage. She too received her DAC, however she later cancelled her order, and received a full refund.
I sent an email marked 'URGENT' to cancel my order and requesting a refund on the morning of 20/10/'24. I received a very unsatisfactory reply from 'Diana' later that day refusing any refund.
Diana stated that 'By the moment you purchase the application, you acknowledge and agree that iVisa is not owned, operated, sponsored, endorsed by, or affiliated with any government or governmental agency and that by using the Service. All of the travelers who reach our website, have the option to apply directly through government websites.'
As a customer I WAS NOT made aware of this at the time of purchase.
As a consumer I have a right to cancel an order and receive a full refund within agreed time limits. My cancellation email was sent well within 24 hours of my order.
In short, IVisa have ripped me off. They are operating a scam service that charges gullible people for something that they need not pay for, then refusing to refund those who realise that they have been cheated, no matter how quickly they try to cancel their order.
I urge all prospective clients to AVOID iVisa, and to block them from their email accounts.
I shall also be writing a complaint to MAS about including a link to such sites in their webpage.
