    Late-night racket test

not too head-heavy, nice in the hand. The grip is tacky without feeling gummy, strings have a crisp snap that gives decent control; you can feel the ball sit on the stringbed just long enough to place a shot. It’s not miraculous power-wise, more a workhorse that lets you pick your pace. A few serve tosses made the handle vibrate a bit differently than our old frames, so we added a thin overgrip and that smoothed it out. Customer contact was clunky at first — slow replies, some back-and-forth — but after I sent photos and stuck with it they agreed to a replacement option. So yeah, annoying process, but the end result was fine and I'm glad we didn't give up. If you buy this, don’t expect it perfect straight away; try it on court, tweak the grip or tension if needed. Would recommend for players who want a reliable feel rather than flashy power, and be ready to follow up if anything's off.

Almost skipped them, glad I didn’t

I was halfway between annoyed and resigned when my coach texted me a link to their racquet. Saw it on his feed and figured, why not — needed something for two upcoming matches. At checkout the site said it would arrive by Thursday, which would’ve been perfect. As the first match morning rolled around, no box. I called. The rep said they were swamped with stringing and the system hadn’t updated — fine, sigh, whatever. They promised Monday. I grumbled, started looking up other stores, because you don’t want to risk it. Then something shifted. A manager actually called me back, said they’d pulled some strings (literally), and overnighted it. It showed up Sunday evening. I remember unboxing it in the parking lot before warmups and thinking, okay, this is good — the balance felt right, strings were done well, and the grip was spot on. That’s the moment I went from skeptical to relieved. Not perfect — the timeline was messy and they could’ve communicated better — but they fixed it and even offered a small credit for the delay. Would I use them again? Yeah, I would. Just double-check delivery dates if you’re on a deadline.
