Unwanted emails
I am so fed up with all the spam emails I keep getting from this company. I didn't sign up for anything, never bought anything, didn't even go to their website. But my inbox is full of their ads every day. I tried to unsubscribe many times, but they just won't stop. It's really intrusive, irritating, and just straight up spam. I've never seen such a lack of respect for people's privacy and personal boundaries. I've had it with this!
Booked with high expectations
I was really looking forward to booking with this travel company, but man, was I let down. The website made all these awesome promises, but when it came down to it, they totally reneged on them. It's so annoying when a company talks a big game but can't deliver. Next time, I'm sticking with the more dependable travel sites that actually deliver on their perks.
Stressful and Unreliable Experience
My experience with this travel agency was a total letdown. I thought using them would make planning my trip easier, but it ended up being even more stressful. Even though I paid all the necessary deposits, I had trouble getting a response from them, their communication was confusing and often late, and our itineraries were all messed up. On top of that, they gave us incorrect balance quotes and sent paperwork for some of our group way later than they said they would. I wouldn't suggest this agency to anyone who wants a reliable and hassle-free travel experience. I definitely won't be using them again in the future.
Cruise booking nightmare
My experience with that travel agency was just awful. They weren't honest about what they offered and the people they hired seemed pretty shady. Their customer service was basically nonexistent, and once I signed on the dotted line, they were nowhere to be found until they started making threats. I definitely suggest steering clear of that agency and finding another one for your travel plans.
Cruise booking experience
I recently had a not-so-great experience with Avoya Travel. I booked a cruise through one of their agents, but the service was disappointing. The agent didn't accurately represent the shipboard credit, and by the time we caught on, it was too late to fix it. Plus, there were mistakes in our airline booking, so we arrived at the departure port way later than we intended. Unfortunately, this meant we missed a whole day of checking out the city before the cruise. Overall, it was a bummer of an experience, especially given the reasons for the trip.
Cruise booking
I recently had a really frustrating experience with an independent travel agent who works with the agency I booked my cruise through. I've been using this agent for a while now, but when my cruise got canceled because of the pandemic, they pretty much ghosted me for over six weeks. I finally reached out to the travel agency for help, but they couldn't really fix things to my satisfaction. The new agent they put me in touch with had a bunch of issues when I tried to rebook my cruise, and it turns out that the lack of oversight from the travel agency caused problems with payments and communication with the cruise line. Honestly, this whole situation has really ticked me off and made me lose trust in these independent agents that work with this travel agency.
International flight booking abandoned
I had a really bad experience with Avoya Travel. I booked and paid for international flights through their agent, but she ended up canceling them just 12 hours before I was supposed to leave. I tried to talk to her and figure things out, but she never found another flight for me. So I was left stuck and trying to find somewhere else to stay. It was a super frustrating and totally unacceptable situation.
Disney cruise booking
Our experience with the travel agent, Lorraine A, was absolutely terrible. Being first-time cruisers, we had to keep reminding her about deals and information for our Disney cruise that she seemed clueless about. When we asked for a clear breakdown of our travel plans in one email, she just sent us back to previous emails without actually helping us. And to top it all off, after our cruise, we were stuck at the port because the ground transport she arranged was nowhere to be found. Then she had the nerve to blame Disney transport and wouldn't give us a refund, even though we were never told how to contact our ground transport beforehand. Luckily, the cruise itself was amazing thanks to Disney, but dealing with Lorraine and Avoya Travel was a total nightmare. We won't ever use their services again and definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
Cruise booking
Let me tell you about this travel agency I came across that I really wish I hadn't. I was trying to book a cruise and decided to check out a few different travel agency websites to see prices. Little did I know, when I landed on Avoya Travel's page, it would lead to days of annoyance and regret. This site doesn't just show you prices for cruises - no, it makes you put in your personal info before you can even see any details. And once you give them your info, get ready for endless phone calls from their agents and non-stop email ads that you can't get rid of. Trying to unsubscribe from the emails just leads you in circles, trapping you in a never-ending cycle of irritation. Do yourself a favor and check out the complaints on the Better Business Bureau page - they say a lot about this company and their shady practices.
Lost $800 deposit
I can't believe these guys. I told my agent to cancel my trip, but they totally dropped the ball and now I'm out $800. Like, seriously? How unprofessional can you be? I thought travel agencies were supposed to help, not make things more difficult. It's like they wanted to ruin my vacation on purpose. Stay away from this company unless you want to waste your money.
Unwanted email subscriptions
As a customer, I've been dealing with some major frustration over all these annoying emails I keep getting from this company. Even though I've tried unsubscribing and marking them as spam, I still get bombarded with their promotional stuff. It's just really frustrating and irritating having to constantly deal with all these unwanted emails.
Missed flight emails for Oceania Cruise
My experience with the agent at that travel agency was really disappointing. I had booked a cruise for me and my elderly parents and given the agent all the details to handle the flights and reservations. But, they dropped the ball and didn't tell us about flight changes or dining reservations, which messed up our plans. We missed out on priority dining and had to pay extra for last-minute flights.
Train trip from Seattle to Calgary
We purchased a TRAIN trip from Seattle to Calgary. Our agent, Bryanna Williams, guaranteed me it was a train trip and not a bus trip. I was very upfront from the beginning that we did not want a bus trip. On our 11 day trip, we were on a train from 5pm to 8am the next morning. That was our entire train trip. There were times our itinerary said train, but is was a bus. Hard to tell train or bus since both stations were in the same building. It was expensive and every time I talked to our agent, I ended up more and more confused. Almost all tours close down the day after their Thanksgiving which was October 10. Agent told us everything closed down early this year, but found out that wasn't true. We spent days in two street towns with no place to go. Just walked around killing time. Turned out to be very expensive and not even close to what we asked for or what we got. We were lied to about being left on the curb in Calgary by Brewster Tours. They forwarded me the email sent to Avoya that their bus did not go to the hotel we were booked in. I know someone saw the email because Brewster told them they would drop us at the airport and someone changed it to the Westin Hotel instead. Already paid to be taken to our hotel so had to pay an addional $32 for a cab. It was basically a bait and switch. They gave me a $200 credit on the $6,000 I paid them. The eventually gave me an additional $150. No one even cared that I was lied to. Would not use them again.
River cruise in Europe
My wife and I booked a river cruise in Europe to be taken in June of 2020. Was canceled due to Covid. They would not return my deposit and said it would be held for two years before I could get it. Has been over two years now. I have called multiple times and left multiple messages. No response from them at all. The agent, Beth Mohiuddin, will not answer her phone or return any of my messages. Evidently, this agency is dishonest and I do not recommend them, ever. Very frustrated with them. Do no buy from them.
Cruise
Booked a family cruise to Alaska back in 2020 for a party of 10. Just found out that the 4 individual groups are at different tables because the travel agency never requested our dining arrangements. In speaking with the agent today, she suggested that I contact Princess directly to resolve. My question to her was isn't that the role of the agent? She decided that I didn't respect her and hung up on me. Don't understand this.
Cruise
When I booked a cruise in June 2021, I was promised a $300 ship credit froim Avoya. Upon boarding the ship in December, no credit from Avoya was on record. I immediately called, and the circus began. To summarize, three months later, 4 phone calls, over 25 texts and e-mails to the agent and customer service, no $300 reimbursement, and total silence--stonewalling--from Avoya. It was a total lie, apparently. I read dozens of identical reviews on other sites--promised credits that never happen. So unethical. So unfair. So unprofessional. Stay away from them.
