    Nearly missed my flight, but I got lucky

    That was a stressful trip — honestly didn’t expect to end up relieved. I was waiting on the curb, watching the Flixbus app say “on time” while the bus didn’t show up on GPS (so weird), and I started picturing myself missing a flight in Krakow. When the bus finally arrived I was a lot calmer — the ride itself was fine, not fancy but okay — but then we pulled over on the highway for about 15 minutes for no clear reason. That stretch of time was the worst part; I kept thinking, “one more stop like this and I’m done.” I jumped off in Katowice and took a Bolt to the airport, which cost more but got me there in time. I’ve used them before (Ostrava to Prague was smooth), so I was happy this one didn’t totally ruin my plans. Not perfect, but grateful I made the flight and that the driver didn’t seem panicked. Could be better on punctuality though.

    Late-night swap

    I wouldn’t rely on them for late-night trips with kids. I say that from the middle of a mess — we were coming home after my kid’s school play, it was late and they swapped our scheduled FlixBus for an unbranded vehicle at the last minute. No logo, no bus number, just a white van. At a dark pickup point that mattered; I couldn’t pick the right vehicle and we missed it. The lack of clear notice and the change in vehicle is what broke it. Customer service offered a tiny voucher and little else, refused a full refund, and their emails sounded like templates. Small surprise: the replacement driver was apologetic and helped point us to a nearby taxi, which at least got us home, but that doesn’t fix the core issue. I use this company for occasional weekend family trips and for practical runs, so reliability matters — and this felt unreliable and sloppy. If you’re booking something time-sensitive or with kids, consider other options. Not ideal, honestly, overall.

    Almost left in the dark

    Halfway through a late-night pit stop I thought we were just taking a quick five-minute break — you know, grab a snack, stretch. There was a short line inside and I swear we were maybe a minute over. When I came back the bus was already rolling away, so I had to sprint after it to the highway entrance (felt ridiculous, honestly). Once I made it back on board I told the driver there were still three people paying and instead of, I don’t know, apologizing, he stood up and got right in my face, real aggressive. He basically said “not my problem” and that they could take a taxi. The whole vibe turned tense; he threatened to drive off again, and a few of us had to speak up together before he calmed down. The people who were left behind had to run across the dark service area to catch up — and later we were stopped in a place that didn’t seem legal at all. It felt unsafe and unnecessary. I’ve had sketchy rides before with cheaper lines, but this was different — driver’s attitude made the trip feel dangerous. I’m glad everyone made it on board and no one was hurt, but I wouldn’t trust them for a night trip unless things change.

    Rolling the dice for the cheap fare

    cramped seats, a tired AC, but for a short trip I shrugged and thought, fine. Then on another day the worst-case happened — the bus didn’t show. That part did not erase my doubts. I was stuck in an unfamiliar town at night, and honestly I felt my stomach drop (lucky my hotel had 24-hour check-in and my flight was the next day). I tried their website form a few times to get an explanation or refund and heard nothing back, which was frustrating. Still, I can’t deny the good bits: when the buses run they’re cheap and do get you where you need to go, and I did save money overall. So mixed feelings — some initial worries proved justified, some didn’t. I’ll use them again but with a backup plan in my pocket.

    Missed call, missing phone, mixed signals

    work emails on the commute, my grocery list, the calendar that keeps my day from collapsing. So yeah, that doubt felt justified in the moment. I called the number straight away. The driver answered and said she’d turned back toward London and would leave the phone at the Birmingham station for me to pick up. That was the first mildly reassuring thing — someone picked up and gave a concrete plan. I filed a lost-and-found report online and then waited. Two weeks later the official reply was basically "we don't know anything." That was a blow. Meanwhile Find My iPhone had placed the device in Birmingham, so there was at least that consistency between the driver’s story and the location ping. In the end my initial hesitation about booking because of poor support didn’t go away — customer service was slow and unhelpful. The surprise was small: the driver actually picked up and mentioned a drop-off point, which for a moment made me think there’d be a quick resolution. There wasn’t. Routine trip, routine worry, routine disappointment.

    Nearly on time, skilled driver, spacious for belongings, 120V charging outlets not working, weak internet connection, restroom should be available

    My recent trip was pretty good overall. The bus showed up almost on time, and the driver was really good at driving. We had enough room to store our stuff, which was nice. But I was kind of bummed that the regular outlets for charging weren't working, so we had to rely on the USB ports for charging our devices. The internet connection was pretty weak too, so it was hard to stay connected during the trip. It would have been better if there was a bathroom on the bus too.

    Weekend trip Edmonton to Calgary

    My trip from Edmonton to Calgary was a bit of a mixed bag. The southbound bus was late, which was frustrating because there were no updates provided on the website or tracking tool. It was also disappointing to find out there was no phone number available to call for information. Once on the bus, the trip itself was alright. However, my return ticket was changed to a different location in the city, causing some inconvenience. The ride back was a bit better in terms of timeliness, but once we boarded, we were informed that we couldn't leave the bus during a stop in Red Deer due to company policies. This was particularly frustrating because we arrived early at the stop due to a change in pick up location, leaving us stuck on the bus for longer than necessary.

    Quick and easy payment method, clean buses, friendly drivers

    I just booked a trip with this company, and I gotta say, the payment process was super quick and easy. I really liked how easy it was to use their website, much better than other options I've tried before. The prices were really good, maybe even cheaper than other bus companies I've used in the past. The buses were clean, and the drivers were friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a good experience, and I'd definitely think about booking with them again next time.

    Late night coach cancellation

    This company messed up big time by canceling my late-night coach from London to Edinburgh just 4 hours before it was supposed to leave, and they didn't even bother explaining why. It was such a pain because I had to rush to figure out another way to get there at the last minute. I ended up having to dish out way more money than I budgeted just to get a train ticket for the next day since everything else was all booked up. It was a total disaster, and I definitely won't be relying on this company again.

    Transport experience

    Krakow to Lviv trip

    I've taken this bus service before, and let me tell you, this last trip from Krakow to Lviv really surprised me. The drivers were so attentive, careful, and made sure both the bus and passengers were well taken care of. However, the fact that they couldn't speak anything other than their native language was a bit of a letdown. It would have been really helpful if they could also speak languages like English or German, especially considering that FlixBus is supposed to be an international company.

    Stranded at gas station in Germany

    I had a pretty terrible experience with the bus company, to be honest. Picture this, I was at a gas station in Germany and the bus straight up left without me! They said it was just a quick 10-minute stop, but the new driver bounced after only 5 minutes, leaving me and a bunch of other folks in the dust. No heads-up, no nothing. I tried talking to the driver about it, but they were super rude and aggressive. It was a whole mess. I had to figure out a whole new way to get where I needed to go, and to make matters worse, I lost two suitcases with all my stuff inside. It totally messed up my whole vacation and caused me a ton of stress and hassle.

    Recent bus trip

    My bus ride last week was pretty cheap compared to taking a train or something like that. I liked that the bus was on time, even though we got stuck in traffic on Friday evening. But I was kinda bummed when they switched the bus out of nowhere on the way there and it had less room for my legs and wasn't as comfy. The ride back was a lot nicer and more comfortable though, so that was good. All in all, I'd say I had a pretty good experience with the whole bus situation.

    Bus travel experience

    My recent bus trip was pretty good overall. It was easy to book my ticket, and I liked how I could handle my luggage with no problems. The bus from Zagreb to Split was crowded, but my seats were saved and I could get in quick with a Q-code. The driver was professional, drove well, and gave info in Croatian and English. I could even charge my phone onboard, which was nice. But the bus seats were small and not comfy. There was no curtain for privacy, and the armrest and nets for holding items were all broken, which was a bummer.

    Missed bus, email sent too late

    We were really pumped for our holiday and decided to book Flix buses for a little adventure. We thought we'd spot a Green Flix bus, but we totally missed it since it didn't have any branding on it! The email about the switch came way too late, we were already en route to the bus station. We even shelled out some extra cash for upgraded seats that didn't even match the location on the app. The other rides were cool, but this one was a bit of a letdown. We only got a small refund, so needless to say, we were pretty bummed out.
