I booked a cruise through a cashback site that advertised 6%. Trip was May 29; I was told the process would only start after the trip ended, which made sense, so I waited. When October came around I followed up and suddenly I had to "prove" I actually took the trip. Okay, fine — I sent the ship invoices showing purchases through the last day. Then I waited some more. Six weeks turned into months of back-and-forth messages. I even called the cruise line; they shrugged and told me their marketing/finance teams didn't know of any agreement with the cashback site — helpful, right? After about a dozen messages and a threat to contact the BBB, I finally received money. Not the 6% I saw in May, but 2%. Yes, they insisted I remembered wrong. I have screenshots from an independent tracker showing the original 6% offer, but they wouldn't accept that evidence. That part is maddening. The one bright spot: after this mess I started saving every single screen capture, confirmation email, and invoice — and I actually got the smaller payout because I had proof of purchase and kept pushing. So here’s my two-cents advice: screenshot everything immediately, save receipts, and don’t be shy about escalating if things stall. If you like a slow tug-of-war with customer service and eventual partial satisfaction, go ahead. For me, the experience went from annoyed and skeptical to grudgingly relieved — not perfect, but at least now I know how to protect myself next time.

the interface, the coupons, the way rewards usually posted — all okay. But the lack of clear communication and evidence ruined the experience. My advice to others: be careful about shared payment methods with referrals, and document everything if you try it. I’d like the accounts reinstated or the bonuses paid, and an actual explanation of what specific rule was broken. I’m disappointed, not furious — just want this resolved cleanly so I don’t have to avoid using the site.
