Money in my account after 4 days
I submitted my claim last Friday and already by Tuesday the money was in my account! It was such a breeze, and the app pretty much takes care of everything for you. This is hands down the best buy I've made since getting my dog.
Filing a claim
Filing a claim is super easy and they deposit your money into your account really fast. Their customer service is excellent if you have any questions or issues.
Claim filed, super easy
I recently had to file a claim and it was surprisingly easy with this company. I did everything online and the forms were very easy to understand. Best part was, they got back to me really quickly which was great, especially when I was feeling stressed. I was really pleased with how fast they responded and assisted me.
Pet insurance claim
Our experience with Lemonade was amazing! When our furry buddy, Shelby, got sick, Lemonade took care of our pet insurance claim fast and with no trouble. What made them stand out was how they truly cared about our dog - they kept asking about Shelby's health before dealing with the paperwork. The caring and quick service from Lemonade really helped us handle a stressful situation. Thank you so much!
Pet insurance coverage
I just got pet insurance and was so pumped with how easy it was to deal with and how fast they got me my money back. My pup had to get something fixed and getting the dough back from the app was like a piece of cake. They put the money right in my account without any issues. It's a load off my mind knowing my little guy is covered like that.
Claim paid quickly
I was really shocked at how quickly I got my money after submitting my claim! I had heard some horror stories about other companies dragging their feet with payments, but not this one. And the app was so easy to navigate, it really streamlined the whole process. I have to say, I was thoroughly impressed with how fast and efficient everything went.

Like many other I too had flooding damage from a burst water pipe during the Ice storm here in February. I submitted pictures, proof of loss form with item(s) cost and receipts where applicable. Other than an automated reply "we'll get back to you as soon as we can" and the initial quick response to my claim filing there has been no movement and it's almost two months now. I understand the Ice storm caused quite a few claims but there has been no settlement offer or any correspondence other than the auto reply above. According to the policy they have 60 days so will see where am at in 4 days from now.
A follow up to my previous post. They (Troy my claims adjuster) responded almost immediately after I complained and they did indeed process my claims. I was missing a photo of my flooded/shorted desktop computer on the floor but after a few emails back and forth agreed my claim was legitimate even though I had no photo of it other than the ones showing my entire apt had flooded. These guys really came through in the end, thank you Lemonade, I know it's been a rough go of it the past couple of months dealing with the flood/ice storm claims. I'm with you guys.....Renters
My daughter had renters insurance with them with the monthly premium being charged to her pre-paid PayPal card. She lost her job because of the pandemic, it took almost 4 months to start getting unemployment and she missed payments so they canceled her policy. Instead of reinstating the policy when we paid the past due amount the forced her to get a NEW policy but won’t accept her PayPal or Greendot card so I used my bank debit card. Policy agreement was for debit for premium on 3rd of every month. 3 days ago I see a charge for $6.55 from them. Their explanation? It’s a “deferred payment fee” from the canceled policy that can’t be stopped, even though that policy was canceled. This fee was NEVER charged the whole time the policy was active. I’d stay as far away from this company as you can.

The quote and policy process was very quick. However, when I wanted to switch from escrow to direct payment, it was frustrating. I wrote an email that took a week to respond to. the real frustration is there is NO PHONE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Even CHAT service did not respond. So, I am dealing with virtual people who I do not know if they exist.
I am on the border line with my experience with this "Virtual" company. They sure need to improve on their customer service and have a way to contact them by PHONE!
End of the day POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE with result in LOSS of CUSTOMERS.I canceled my policy, but they canceled my ex-husband's policy instead. I helped him get set up, but we had a heck of a time separating our policies on the app. I don't know how I could have been clearer - i requested the cancellation using my address and they cancelled his policy, which is a different address. It has been a week and I still haven't gotten this straightened out. Lemonade is not ready yet for homeowners insurance. It takes days to hear back from anyone and then the question is a request for the policy number. Then it's another few days before I hear back. The customer service issue is horrible. There should be a number easily available so you don't have to wait forever to get a stupid question from a bot. I can't imagine what filing a claim would be like if they can't keep two addresses separate. They can't continue to organize policies by a phone number. It took forever and a phone call to get them to unlink my ex from my app. I'm so mad at this company. Once they figure out what to do, we are canceling his policy, but until then, I need to get my money back to put in my escrow account or my mortgage payments will go up. They aren't even the least expensive. I found better coverage for same price.
I am furious with them. Terrible terrible company. If people want to pay money for nothing, then this is the company for them!! Bye craponade!!!
Homeowner Insurance
I switched to Lemonade for my Homeowner insurance 6 months ago and the price for similar coverage was almost 40% cheaper than the company I was with before (Geico/Hartford). Two weeks ago, there was an attempted robbery in my house and the backdoor window was smashed and patio door damaged. I was a bit worried when I reached out to lemonade as I first had to deal with their AI that was not much help. I started stressing maybe I had made a mistake switching to a cheaper/younger company. But then I was transferred to humans and every single person I spoke to was WONDERFUL! They all started out by telling me how sorry they were this was happening to my family and how we must feel stressed and worried and that they would do everything they could to help. 2 weeks later, I have the money for repairs on my account already. They reviewed the claim promptly, provided support and updates, let me get quotes from local vendors and approved the replacement door I selected SUPER fast. It was EASY, FAST and with a lot of kindness at every step. I am super happy with them.
l would like to have a quote.

Home owners insurance
I was skeptical but the bots matched my existing insurance exactly. I even increase coverage and still the cost was 40% less than my existing bundle insurance provider. Lemonade is a no brainer, cutting out the middle man and putting that money back in my pocket.
Homeowners insurance
Read the fine print brought this insurance when we brought our first home because we had it prior for renters insurance. Recently a storm caused a tree to fall on our house and when I called them they said they would only give $500 to remove the tree. I will be changing insurance companies at the end of the term. This was an act of God nothing we did to the house. It has now been five days and we still have yet to have a claims adjuster come and look at the damage to our property. Your claim is handled with a bot. And email is the main way communication is made even when you call they tell you they will call you back. Very Scary and frustrating especially when you don’t know what the outcome will be
I am also an insurance agent. A good company will pay the cost to remove the tree from the house without a dollar limit (subject to the deductible). The tree removal limit comes into play if the tree does not land on a covered structure - house, detached structures, driveway, fence, pool, etc.
I like you David. Someone who knows what they’re talking about. Lemonade sucks.
Curious about Lemonade too!
Renters Insurance
My experience was great and the process of doing my claim and receiving funds was amazingly easy and fast. Unfortunately my apartment complex had a bad fire and we had smoke damage. It wasn’t my building on fire but after almost 2 weeks the smell didn’t go away. It settled into the clothes, beds and toys. I filed on Monday and the claim was processed by Tuesday. Funds was entered into my bank account by Wednesday. I truly appreciate their hassle free speedy service. I only got the insurance because my apartment complex forced me to...but thank God they did ????

Great company. I worked with a great adjuster due to an unfortunate claim. Instant turnout and responds to messages right away. Very smooth process.

Very clear and easy to apply
Homeowner insurance
After reading their policy (called policy 2.0), I was convinced. Love the way they explain their policy so you actually understand what will be insured (and what not). Good low rate, now just "waiting for something to happen" and if their service is they say it is, I will def come back here and talk about that!
