I asked them to stop it and they kept moving forward. I was stressed because getting to the US to handle a return wasn’t realistic for me. Thankfully, when the package arrived at the US receiving service I use, they rejected it and sent it back via USPS. I thought, okay, good — I did my part. I shared the USPS return tracking with the seller immediately. After that I expected a refund and some clear communication. Instead I got radio silence for weeks, and different tracking numbers from them that didn’t match the return tracking I had provided. When I followed up they said they were "waiting" for the return to be processed, but gave me no practical steps they were taking with the carrier. Meanwhile, I’d asked them to cancel the Canadian order too because I was so upset at their lack of control over shipments, and there was also a postal strike in Canada at the time which made me nervous about delays and extra fees. The site still showed no pickup by their courier, so I thought cancellation would be confirmed. Nothing happened. Fast forward three months: partial updates, repeated messages, and finally mid-February I get a notice from my local mail carrier about about $20 in duties for a package that, frankly, I had explicitly asked them not to ship back in December. The package was shipped on January 22 despite those earlier cancellation requests and promises from support to stop it. I’ve now got over $790 CAD stuck in limbo and a pile of back-and-forth that mostly felt like being shuffled around. On the plus side, the people at the US receiving company were helpful and rejected the parcel as requested, and I appreciate that — small win. But overall, my doubts that this system would handle a simple cancellation were justified. The refund still hasn't shown up, their communication is slow and inconsistent, and they didn't seem to coordinate properly with the courier. Beyond my personal frustration, it’s annoying thinking about the environmental cost of parcels traveling across the globe for nothing. I wanted them to prevent needless shipments and to actually respect a clear cancellation request. I’m writing this because I hope they improve their processes — better cancellation controls, clearer carrier coordination, and real accountability for refunds. If any of this sounds familiar, be careful with autofill addresses and double-check currencies before hitting confirm. And be prepared to chase them if something goes wrong, because in my case those initial doubts never fully went away.
