She unwrapped it at the kitchen table, paper everywhere and that tiny look of shock — perfect moment. I bought this because my daughter is an artist and wanted a portable drawing display for her birthday; also we needed a more travel-friendly setup after a move and her old tablet kept lagging. The first unit I got turned out to be the PC-only model and it acted flaky. I called Huion, explained the problem, and they offered refund or exchange. I asked to swap for the standalone model she wanted. They sent a mailing slip, I dropped the unit at USPS, and before I knew it the replacement was on its way. Setup was simple. Screen feels nicely textured; the pen glides with minimal lag and pressure response is solid for sketching. It didn’t cost extra and the whole swap was painless. Grace on support was helpful. My daughter uses it daily and seems excited to practice more.
Waiting on a promised swap
Sometimes the strangest thing is how normal a gadget can feel until it isn’t. When this tablet worked, the pen felt nice — smooth nib glide, decent pressure sensitivity, screen texture wasn’t gritty but gave just enough drag to feel natural. I used it for sketching and quick edits; it had a pleasant, solid weight and the buttons were where I liked them. So yeah, I was glad it was a good little tool, and that made the later mess more frustrating.
Return-fee felt off
after I pushed back they did issue a full refund. That was handled without drama, and I appreciate that, but the policy itself is what bugs me. Big companies tend to have courier deals; it’s hard to believe they’re actually out almost £20 on every tiny return. If you’re someone who skims terms like I sometimes do, this is the clause you’ll trip over. My takeaway: product and support can be fine, but watch the return terms — they can turn a simple swap or refund into an unexpectedly expensive chore. I’m somewhat relieved they fixed my case, but I’m still wary. If Huion wants fewer complaints, they should be upfront or scale that fee more realistically.
Drawing tablet
I recently got a drawing tablet, but it wouldn't work right out of the box. I was bummed about it, but then Jane stepped in and helped me troubleshoot the issue. Kamvas Pro 16 (4K) Plus upgrade to Kamvas Pro 19
I recently decided to upgrade from my Kamvas Pro 16 (4K) Plus to the Kamvas Pro 19 because I was having some issues with my old tablet.
