Parked in the rain, hunched from a bad back, I was ready to be annoyed—after a bad online mix-up before. The curbside pickup was actually quick, staff helpful and held my bulky box while I shuffled. Not perfect, but pleasantly relieved enough.
Unfortunate dress arrival
I tried it on for a wedding last weekend and when I opened the box there was a big brown-ish stain across the front. It was shoved in tissue and the box barely taped. Customer service wouldn’t refund me, so yeah, bummed.
Two new favorites, thanks Mojgan
great help — I left with new favorites. I needed new scents after my old perfume started giving me headaches and I wanted something lighter for work. Mojgan knew her stuff, was patient when I kept changing mind. Felt relieved.
From window crush to in-store win
I spotted the shoes in a shop window and loved them right away. I ordered online three separate times but each order got canceled, weirdly. Ended up trying them in-store — super soft, comfy, just what I wanted, so I told a friend.
Bay walk nod
I knew I liked it when a friend actually nodded during our bay walk. I wear pieces for travel and casual work days. A bit pricey and not perfect, but it does the job.
Accidental splurge
I went in for one perfume and, as my friend had tipped me, walked out with half the counter — thanks to Mohan. He greeted me right away, matched scents, and when I realized one lasted all day I was sold. Not perfect (line was slow), but really good.
Unexpected birthday win
Totally worth it — I went in a bit skeptical but left pleased. We celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday with his mom; the starter (steak tartare salad) surprised me, his mom loved the salmon ochazuke, he had ribeye, I had a wagyu burger with veggie sticks (I think). Now a go-to spot.
Nice surprise from Dana
Honestly, I loved my visit — Dana made it easy. I stopped by last weekend and at first I thought it’d be a quick run, but she was calm, gave a hug, remembered small details and that totally surprised me. Friendly and helpful, really.
Surprise pit stop
Walked in half-expecting overpriced salads and snooty waiters — had a sore back from hauling bags and just needed a sit. Ended up with friendly staff, a solid menu (more choices than I guessed), a bright LA-ish vibe that actually cheered me. No dress code, good value, stayed longer than planned.
Walked in, nobody there
Walked in and felt invisible — no signs, nobody greeting, I wandered around like a lost tourist. I pick up family lunches here during the workweek, so this was annoying. Took a while but once someone found me they fixed the order fast. Kinda skeptical, but turned out okay.
Unexpected lunchtime delivery
Got it on my doorstep during lunch — my new everyday purse fits my laptop charger and groceries, love that. Delivery was fast and packaging neat. Bummed the tag showed a lower price and customer service wouldn’t adjust it, but otherwise it’s a solid daily bag.
Low-key lunch find
Worth the detour. We celebrated a birthday at a small spot called Mariposa, tucked on the third floor of Neiman Marcus at Fashion Island. Food was solid and the server was pleasant. The presentation was neat—small pots and little details. I've had worse mall lunches, honestly.
Back-elevator surprise
Walking out of the back elevator I thought we'd slide right in, but nope — they still made us check in at the front podium, which felt weird on a holiday. My brother was excited to try it; I remembered the food. First bite was good, service a bit scattered, but overall fine.
Small Joy
I braced for a card fee like at other spots, but they didn't charge one, nice. Tried the salmon and a burger, staff was friendly and quick. Was skeptical at first because some places nickel-and-dime you, but really pleased.
Worth the splurge, kinda
Totally worth it, even if my wallet still grumbles. I treated myself because I hurt my back moving last week and needed comfort food. First time eating here. Wagyu burger with all the fixings and a salad. Price is steep. Service was friendly though. I’ll go back, maybe.
Wrong door, quick fix
We went to an Admission Day luncheon with my brother-in-law and his wife. Used the elevator street entrance and missed the tiny sign about the front door. A server noticed, waved us over and pointed us the right way. Felt a bit awkward, but they handled it fine.
Same store, different vibe
I stopped by on a weekday — been coming for years — and noticed staff less...professional, they dress kind of like streetwear and the attitudes have slipped. I still grab lunch and a few work essentials here, so it’s handy, but the service is getting a bit tiring, honestly.
Late-morning find
I popped in late, thinking I'd just browse, and the second I found a simple everyday mug that fits my morning routine, I knew I was happy. I walked over from the public lot by Crate and Barrel — weather was nice, valet's available but I liked the extra steps, honestly
The $800 surprise that finally flipped
keep screenshots and be patient.
Small discovery
I was halfway through a hectic morning when a friend tipped me off to this brand. Unboxed it at lunch — feels solid, not flimsy, fits nicely in hand and worked exactly as I needed for daily use. Website was clunky, and I had a shipping hiccup, but overall relieved it’s good.

Designer dress
The selection at Neiman Marcus is super fancy, but the prices are just way too high. I recently bought a designer dress for a special event, and even though the quality was grea... Read onBy: concepcion
