    The fancy box dilemma

    I spotted this on their website and thought, huh — looks nice — then realized the “free gift wrap” is basically a Neiman Marcus box with a ribbon, and only higher-tier members get it. I told a friend about the pretty box and we both shrugged. It’s a classy touch, I’ll admit the box looks great and makes unboxing fun, but feeling like you have to be VIP to get it? Kinda off. Still buy from them sometimes, just feels like a mixed bag.

    FedEx return — poor follow-up

    I used their FedEx return label for an expensive item—dropped it off and kept the receipt in my wallet. The package got lost. I called, asked for a supervisor, emailed the drop-off proof, and was basically shuffled around; the supervisor put me on hold and didn’t follow up. I spent over five hours dealing with this with no resolution, so I disputed the charge. I've had smoother returns with smaller shops; this felt oddly indifferent. Not coming back.

    Held on forever, then surprise fix

    I tried calling the NorthPark and Houston stores last week and honestly thought they weren’t open.     Single wear, big letdown

    Overall, I’d skip buying a pricey jacket from their store. I grabbed an Alexander McQueen coat for work and commuting — wanted something sharp for meetings — but it was the wrong shade and only got one outing. After that single wear I noticed a sweat mark on the underarm and some of the button’s finish flaked off. For over $2k that felt like a punch. Store said it’s non-returnable because of the "damage." It’s not all broken, it looks fine now for casual use, but I’m done shopping there.

    supposed to get a package, waited six days past the delivery date watching the status stuck on "in transit," then FedEx says it's lost. Customer service felt like a loop; reps kept telling me to wait, the supervisor said the same thing, and my emails didn't move things at first. They offered a $50 apology but the initial refund came back without that credit, which felt like a slap in the face. After more calls and a pushy follow-up I did finally get the $50 and the rest refunded. For a big-name store this was disappointing. Not great service, messy delivery, but eventually sorted—barely.

    Jacket felt good, process did not

    I put the Prada denim on the first cool morning after it arrived — heavier than I expected, shoulders were structured and the inside was kind of soft, outer denim a bit stiff. Loved the look, tried it on around the block once and realized the fit wasn’t quite right, so I used the Neiman Marcus return label they sent. Tracking shows the return was delivered over a week ago, but no refund yet. I called customer service a couple times; they didn’t seem to have the return in their system and kept saying their fulfillment partner needs time to process it. I mean, I bought it from NM, so it’s odd they don’t take ownership. Kinda disappointing, I’ll probably go direct to the brand next time.
