Books for me and my elderly relatives
I really enjoy ordering my books from Thriftbooks! I've gotten over a hundred books for both myself and my elderly relatives, and every time has been a great experience. There was one instance where I received a book that was severely damaged - looked like someone had attacked it with a box cutter! I couldn't even read some of the pages. But when I contacted Thriftbooks about it, they promptly refunded me. That's what I call excellent customer service! The only reason I didn't give them a five-star rating is because I sometimes accidentally order the same book twice. It would be super helpful if they had a feature that could alert you if you're ordering duplicates. This would especially benefit someone like me who frequently purchases books by the same author for my elderly mom and aunt.
"Supposedly Used Book"
I was so pleasantly surprised by the "used" book I bought recently. It was in excellent condition, practically brand new. It's always nice to get something that goes beyond what you expected, especially with used stuff. The seller's description was spot-on, and I'll definitely think about buying from them again. While I love the convenience of a certain big online store with fast shipping, supporting other platforms that have great service and products at good prices is cool too. Overall, it was a really great experience and I would totally recommend it to other book lovers.
Recent book purchase

Vintage Agatha Christie Books
I was super excited when I stumbled upon some vintage Agatha Christie paperbacks on this website. My collection was due for some replacements since some of my copies were looking pretty beat up. Luckily, I found just what I needed on Thriftbooks at reasonable prices. They shipped out my order quickly. The only hiccup was that one of the books had a little damage on the back cover from shipping, but I fixed it up easily with some scotch tape. All in all, I was happy with my buy.
Affordable book
I just bought a really cheap book from this site, and I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly it got to me and all the notifications I got along the way. The book I got was "A Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini, and man, it's really got me hooked. The way it shows the kindness between different genders and generations in a patriarchal society is just amazing, and you can really feel the author's compassion for women shining through.
