I remember unboxing it on a late night, already half-caffeinated and not expecting much. At first I was skeptical — it arrived later than I hoped and the packaging looked a bit battered — but I hooked it up anyway. The chassis feels solid, buttons click clean, and the screen popped to life with way better color than I expected. First boot was snappy and the fan hum is low, so using it for work was actually pleasant. There was a hiccup with returns and communications that took a few days, which annoyed me, but the machine itself won me over pretty quickly.
Halfway-through regret
Right when the salesperson called to confirm, I remember pausing — something about his tone made me uneasy, but he promised it would ship next day so I went ahead. Four days later nothing had moved, so I called and the same guy snapped at me, like, "Who told you we could ship next business day?" That was my first major red flag. Then the PC arrived and the CD-ROM didn’t work. I opened it up and found a used drive with a return sticker still on it. I had to argue, had to prove it by swapping in a drive from my other computer (which worked fine), and only then they agreed to replace it — but I had to pay the shipping to send it back. Price wasn’t amazing, just okay, and honestly the hassle made it not worth it. I’ve had better luck with other small shops that actually follow up, so this left me annoyed and a little sad. They fixed it eventually, but my doubts were mostly justified.
Pretty good for the price, with a few hiccups
I emailed asking for a tracking number and never heard back, and the customer service reps on the phone were kind of hard to understand (but they did help, eventually). Also paid for a 5-day ground option and it showed up closer to two weeks later — annoying, but not a dealbreaker. If you know what you want and want a cheap, functioning rig, this is worth it, with a few caveats.
