Review about: Princess Cruises
Princess Cruises dress code interpretation
I had a frustrating experience on the Sky Princess cruise ship regarding the dress code in the dining area. Before the cruise, they made it clear that for Smart Casual evenings, guests should dress like they would for a nice restaurant at home and not wear pool or beach attire, shorts, ball caps, or jeans with holes. For Formal Nights, women were supposed to wear evening gowns or cocktail dresses, and men were to wear tuxedos or dark suits. However, I saw people in ball caps and shorts allowed into the dining room even on Formal Nights. When I told the staff, they said they couldn't enforce the dress code, only ask guests to take off their caps. The inconsistency made me and others feel disrespected. It's not fun to be dressed up next to people in shorts and caps, it defeats the purpose of the dress code. The company needs to either enforce the rules properly or get rid of them to keep the dining experience enjoyable for everyone. This experience has me thinking twice about booking another Princess cruise, and I'm sure others feel the same way.
