Cruise experience
The cruise was okay but not great. The food was really bad and they kept serving the same thing every day. There weren't many vegetarian options for me. The worst part was when they closed one dining option to push people to the specialty restaurant. The specialty restaurant food wasn't even that good. I've been on Carnival and Royal Caribbean cruises before and their food, entertainment, and rooms were way better. Oh, and my room had a lot of safety hazards.
Cruise Experience
My recent cruise was kind of a letdown. The ship looked amazing, but there were a few things that didn't go as planned. The package I bought wasn't what I thought it would be, and they made changes after I already paid for it. It left a bad feeling and made me feel like I was getting taken advantage of. On top of that, the guest services staff was not very nice or helpful, so it was hard to get help with any problems that came up on the cruise.
Excursions, not recommended for travel planning
It's best to steer clear of excursions when planning a trip because they tend to be unreliable when it comes to public holidays, they sometimes cancel trips last minute causing a lot of hassle, they can be pretty pricey, the group sizes are usually too big which makes everything feel rushed, and they usually don't listen to feedback from customers. I recommend checking out other options like Viator or GetYourGuide for tours that are more affordable and with smaller groups, or you could book directly with local tour operators for even better deals and a more satisfying experience.
Waiting forever for answers
This customer service is just the absolute worst! I was on hold forever and they never even gave me a solution to my problem. They told me they would email me back within 3-5 days, but it's been two weeks and still, nothing! If you need assistance, I wouldn't even bother sailing with them.
Recent Mediterranean cruise experience
I just got back from my first-ever two-week Mediterranean cruise, and it was absolutely amazing. The staff on board were so attentive and really went out of their way to make sure everyone had a great time. Even though I was a little worried after reading some bad reviews, I was pleasantly surprised by how great the service and accommodations were on the cruise. The itinerary was well-planned and made for an unforgettable vacation. I'm already excited to book my next cruise down the line.
Cruise tour disappointment
I just booked a cruise tour because I was really excited to visit Normandy beaches and cemeteries for the D-day celebrations on June 7th. Turns out, the cruise line cancelled all tours because they were worried about it being too crowded. It was a huge bummer because a lot of us booked specifically for that reason, to honor and remember. I think Princess Cruises really dropped the ball on this one. It's disappointing and has left a lot of us feeling pretty bummed and let down.
Princess Cruises dress code interpretation
I had a frustrating experience on the Sky Princess cruise ship regarding the dress code in the dining area. Before the cruise, they made it clear that for Smart Casual evenings, guests should dress like they would for a nice restaurant at home and not wear pool or beach attire, shorts, ball caps, or jeans with holes. For Formal Nights, women were supposed to wear evening gowns or cocktail dresses, and men were to wear tuxedos or dark suits. However, I saw people in ball caps and shorts allowed into the dining room even on Formal Nights. When I told the staff, they said they couldn't enforce the dress code, only ask guests to take off their caps. The inconsistency made me and others feel disrespected. It's not fun to be dressed up next to people in shorts and caps, it defeats the purpose of the dress code. The company needs to either enforce the rules properly or get rid of them to keep the dining experience enjoyable for everyone. This experience has me thinking twice about booking another Princess cruise, and I'm sure others feel the same way.
Flights, expensive, frustrating
I am furious with this company for not booking our flights for our cruise in time. They really dropped the ball and now we have to spend over £1000 extra on flights. I specifically told them to book them right away, but they didn't listen. Our £20000 cruise is now completely messed up. Thanks a lot, company.
Cruise experience disappointment
Recently I took a cruise with Cruise Line and everything went pretty well, until I found out they still owed me some money. After a few weeks, they sent me a check to reimburse me, but I can't cash it anywhere in the Netherlands. I've tried reaching out to customer service through email a bunch of times, but haven't heard anything back. It's pretty surprising that they would ignore a loyal customer over a small amount like this. Needless to say, they won't be getting our business again.
Cruise July
I went on a cruise with my family and we were super pumped, but then we ran into a major issue with the app that's supposed to make everything smooth sailing. The app kept giving us an error message every time we tried to book a dinner reservation. We attempted to call customer service, use the online chat feature, and even sent emails, but nobody could figure it out! It made us nervous that if something serious went down, we wouldn't have any help. Pretty bummed out, I doubt we'll take another cruise with them.
35-day Cruise experience
My 35-day cruise was pretty great, all things considered. The balcony cabin I had was pretty roomy and even had a walk-in closet, which was a cool surprise. The cleaning service for the cabin was top-notch, which was nice to come back to a neat room every day. The staff on the ship were super friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. I really liked that there were self-service laundry facilities on almost every deck. It was super handy to be able to do my laundry for a small fee and not have to pack as much. The ship itself was well-kept even though it was older. They used Australian Dollars onboard and gave us this Medallion that was our boarding pass, which I thought was a pretty smart idea. The drinks were good and not too expensive, but I thought the excursions were a bit pricey. The food on the cruise was amazing, and the waitstaff were awesome. Even though we had open seating, they managed to get us the same table every time, which was a nice personal touch. All in all, I'd definitely think about cruising with this company again in the future.
Unauthorized payments taken
I recently went on this awesome cruise, but then, get this, they ended up taking $500 out of my bank account without any warning. I mean, can you believe that?! So, I tried reaching out to them by phone, email, and even filling out forms on their website, but I literally got no response from anyone. It's like once they had my money, they didn't care about me at all. Honestly, it was the worst customer service experience I've ever had.
Ruby Princess cruise
My experience on the Ruby Princess cruise was pretty disappointing, honestly. The whole boarding situation was a mess - super chaotic and confusing. And don't even get me started on trying to find a bathroom, they were like hidden treasures! They had these fancy digital displays of the ship layout, but good luck trying to figure out where the heck you were going.
The Panama Old City Excursion was a total disaster. We were stuck on a bus for what felt like forever, no bathroom breaks, and barely any time to actually explore. And let me tell you, the onboard entertainment was a snooze fest. The acts were short and kept on repeat all week long.
The workout room? Ugh, don't even get me started. It was like a time machine back to the 80s with those ancient machines. Looked like they were ready for a garage sale.
But hey, it wasn't all bad. The customer service on the ship was top-notch. Our room steward was a gem, always going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.Princess cruise
I recently went on a Princess cruise and it was amazing! The ship was beautiful and the service was top-notch. I've been on other cruises in the past, but Princess is now my favorite. I've already booked another cruise with them and I can't wait to go again!
Medallion bill discrepancy
I went on a cruise and had a big problem with my final bill. They took more money from my bank than what the bill said, and I don't know why. I called customer service, but they just gave me a wrong number to call after the cruise. I also reached out on social media, but it's been 3 days and no one has gotten back to me. This is not okay.
3 cruises, 2 more booked
I gotta say, I'm really surprised by all the bad reviews I've been seeing. My time on this cruise line has been absolutely incredible. The food was delicious, the drinks were top-notch, the entertainment was great, the ship decor was beautiful, and the staff was so attentive. I can't wrap my head around why some folks have such a different experience.
Princess Plus package
We had such a great time with the Princess Plus package on our last cruise. Everything from the way they kept things running on time at the port to the amazing service we received was top of the line. The food choices weren't anything too fancy, but they hit the spot for a mid-range cruise. The Princess Plus package, with all the perks and top-shelf drinks included, was definitely a good choice. We were also really impressed with the entertainment on board, from the big production shows to the comedy acts that kept us laughing the whole trip.
Mediterranean cruise on a popular ship
I just got back from a two-week Mediterranean cruise on a popular ship and it was a bit of a mixed bag. The places we stopped at were amazing, except for Marseille which wasn't as pretty as we expected. The weather was mostly nice and warm, except for one dreary day in Lisbon. The actual ship was beautiful, and we decided to treat ourselves to a mini-suite with some extra perks as Elite members. Unfortunately, the food in the main dining rooms wasn't great, especially the meat dishes like the steaks. We ended up going to the buffet and International Cafe more often for more reliable options, even though we missed the fancy dining experience.
The entertainment on the ship was hit or miss, with some good shows but not a lot of variety. The TV in our room kept acting up which was super annoying and messed with our movie nights. Overall, we did have a good time on the cruise, but it was obvious that there were some areas lacking compared to our last Princess cruise before the pandemic. The staff, though, were amazing and much more helpful and friendly than on a different cruise we took with another company last October. Princess really should work on improving the quality of their food to match up with their excellent service.4 Princess cruises
I had really been looking forward to some tasty meals, but I was let down. The main dining rooms had slow service and the food wasn't very good - it was cold and low quality. I ended up going to the buffet for hot food, but I wished there was table service. On formal nights, everyone was at the buffet instead of the fine dining restaurants. The specialty restaurant was fancy, but it was pricey. The cabin was nice, though. Overall, the ship felt way too crowded for my liking.
Mediterranean cruise itinerary change
I was really let down by Princess Cruises changing my Mediterranean cruise on the Sun Princess. Instead of going to the beautiful port of Kotor, Montenegro like we planned, they took us to the quiet town of Bar, Montenegro. Princess didn't even offer any excursions for this port, and I couldn't find any options on other travel websites either. There weren't any walking tours or videos on YouTube for things to do in Bar. We were stuck there for 11 hours with nothing to do. Their excuse about technical issues with water shuttles seemed like a cop-out. Why couldn't they pick a more exciting replacement port for Kotor? Simply put, Bar was really boring and not worth it.
