Linens Tablecloth & Placemats
I ordered from AL for the first time and plan to order more. It is a gorgeous site with wonderfully designed pieces.. But I was very disappointed with the quality of the "placemats" which look and feel more like cocktail napkins. I thought they would be lined or at least made of a study fabric like similar batik prints. I should have checked the size as well because they are too small as well(12 x 12) as too flimsy to be placemats. I bought them on sale so they aren't returnable. It was a complete waste of 25 dollars and that was a sale price. I think they were 40 or 50 dollars full price which would have been insane. She fooled me once but won't fool me again. Just be careful on sale merchandise. I also ordered two tablecloths which are very pretty but the sewing and seams aren't the greatest quality. I think the ones sold on Etsy are a better value for the money and there is more selection especially concerning size. I can get wider batik print tableclothes on Etsy too. 60 inches wide barely covers my 52 inch wide table. I knew that from the beginning. Still you can't beat the designs and tablescapes she puts together. Overall I am happy with them. I will order again. I especially want one of the rattan pieces. The furniture is actually very competitively priced even compared to Etsy's offerings, and is gorgeous stuff, each piece prettier than the next.
