Customer Service is non-existent!
I had to cancel my cruise due to my mother-in-law being in the hospital. I had purchased Allianz travel insurance offered through Avoya Travel and/or Royal Caribbean. To submit a travel claim, I needed a receipt from Royal Caribbean showing the amount they refunded. Seems like a simple request...
After 6 WEEKS of leaving messages and sending email, I finally got my statement from Royal Caribbean. RC said since I went through a travel agent, they could only communicate through them. My independent travel agent claimed she had been calling RC, but I really wonder if that is true. I finally gave her email address to RC and that worked! I left multiple messages with Lindsey H and Avoya Customer Service. The Avoya ... is actually answered, but they put you through to Customer Service - leave a message and no call-back from them - ever! What kind of customer service is that?
I really wonder if RC and/or Avoya has a deal with Allianz travel insurance to avoid sending needed documentation so that a claim cannot be filed.
