    PAWP is a scam

    After directly speaking with one of the 3 reviewers on the ‘review board’, this person told me directly that “if it were a real emergency I (the board member/reviewer) would just skip over contacting the company (PAWP) and accept the cost of the vet visit”. Which is exactly what they hope someone would do in an actual emergency.

    Unfortunately, this is a very good scheme. It is not insurance, it is a “club” you pay for.


    If you have a legit vet near you who you trust and call them first, you do not need this “club”.

    The club provides you with a vet you can talk to and it is your assumption that the vet has authority, once they have received your information, to approve or deny your case. Unfortunately, this is not the case and it is processed by a separate review board after the vet has been to the emergency room. Even if a vet reviews your case and approves the funds, the funds can be removed from you based on a separate determination.
    Furthermore, instructions once funds are distributed are also unclear in that there is no reimbursement that takes place -again as they are not an insurance company. It is a multiple step scheme to make sure they find something to disprove your case.
    If at any point you do something that THEY deem to be outside of their “rules and regulations” they will not award you funds.

    Pawp clearly does not trust in their vets to provide authorization when a pet is having a life threatening emergency.
    Pawp is interested in keeping money in their pockets rather than helping out their ‘club members’ when it comes to the time. You might as well spend the additional monthly cost to go through a certified insurance company who will follow through.

    1/5 stars, the only reason they get 1 star is that the vet who I spoke with was responsive in the emergent situation.

    Thanks for your feedback and I'm sorry you were unhappy with your experience with our emergency fund. We appreciate you bringing your confusion to our attention and we're doing our best to improve our service to be the best it can be.
    Your case in particular was not covered by the emergency fund because it did not comply with our rules and regulations. We make it clear to all users that you must speak with our vets upon suspecting an emergency before heading to the clinic. A lot of times they are able to offer first aid advice and at home remedies to save you a trip to the clinic altogether, however if an emergency is deemed, they will activate your emergency fund and redirect you to your clinic.
    At the time of you reaching out to our vets, you had already taken your pet to the vet, which disqualifies the funds from being released. Additionally, if a vet has properly identified the situation as an emergency, detailed instructions are given on how to receive payment upon receiving the final invoice. This is paid directly to the clinic, never the customer, as clearly stated in our terms and conditions. We do not supply a reimbursement to the customer for this reason - if funds are properly released, they are paid to the clinic.

    Who the ... has time to sit there and chat with you while their pet is dying? They need to get to a vet ASAP and then contact you ....

    This is the third time I’ve given this company. I have purchased Coach, Oscar and now Lauren. They all smell horrible!! I went to my local mall with what I purchased and went to the Women’s Makeup and Perfume counter. I explained to the assistant what the issue was and she was curious, so I took out the perfumes and had her compare my perfumes to what they sell. She was horrified that they ALL SMELLED BAD!! She did all 3 and she agreed with me and told me to come to the mall and make my purchase at one of the department stores!! DO NOT BUY FROM THUS STORE!!! THEY ARE FAKES!!!

    I have ordered a lot from this company and liked the majority of what I ordered for the price point. The last two times I ordered though were really frustrating and I will not order from the again. The first order mistake, they sent me a dress that had a hole in it. I contacted them and they were going to make me pay for the shipping to return a damaged product that they sent me. I was annoyed but let it go. I ordered again and this time every single thing I ordered arrived in the wrong size. I’ve contacted them, and fully expect them to tell me I have to pay for the shipping again. Pretty disappointing. There are plenty of boutiques in the U.S. I can order from who will provide better customer service.
