Review about: Born Shoes
Born Falco (rust, size 9)
These seem to be made of quality leather. The issue I have is with the heel construction- when walking at just a moderate pace, not even fast- these shoes tend to roll. I've already hurt myself a couple times wearing them, literally just walking. Also, they are ok comfy for a few hours, but standing for a full 8-hour shift at my grocery store job is definitely out of the question. I find myself limping well before my day's even halfway through. I wonder why there are only positive reviews of Born shoes. I checked the Born website as well as amazon, other retailers, basically anywhere online that had these shoes; every single review I found was only positive. Are these even real people posting these reviews? Or just bots? The Born customer service was abysmal to deal with as well. I realize they can't re-sell something that's been worn, but I would have had no way to find out these shoes weren't as great as the reviews claimed until I had tried them myself. I made the investment in these expensive shoes thinking I'd have something perfect for work to get me through the majority of this winter, but I really won't get much use out of them. They certainly aren't worth what came to over $150 with shipping and tax. They're made in China too, to add insult to injury. Definitely will NOT purchase a Born product again. Perhaps the worst customer service I've ever dealt with.
