Christmas trip to Vegas cancellation
My family had a Christmas trip to Vegas planned through this company, but unfortunately, we had to cancel because my dad was really sick. We talked to a representative who told us the travel credits and vouchers could be used by anyone on the original booking. But when we tried to switch the credits to a family member who could still go, they said only that person's part of the voucher could be used, not the whole thing. So, we could only get back a small part of what we spent. We explained why we had to cancel, but they didn't seem to care at all. They just said we couldn't transfer the credits like they said we could. It was really disappointing how little they seemed to care about our situation. It felt like they were more worried about making money than taking care of their customers.
Trip booking mishap
I had a terrible experience last year when I booked a trip through a travel agent. I found myself just 4 weeks away from my trip with no itinerary and no way to contact the agent. Even worse, her phone was disconnected, so I was stuck and feeling helpless. I tried reaching out to Apple Vacations for help, but they said they needed to talk to the agent first. How was I supposed to do that if her phone was out? It was so frustrating and disheartening. This whole situation could have been avoided if they had better customer service and backup plans.
Overpriced vacation
Man, this vacation was a total letdown! I shelled out way too much cash for a 4-day getaway and it was a bust. The extra $100 a day for the "preferred" pool area was a joke. And don't get me started on the so-called beach--more like gravel by a little lagoon. I'm pretty sure it's a breeding ground for germs. When I finally made it to my room, it was downright Arctic. They tried to fix the AC but just ended up shutting it off altogether. Promised me a new room, but here I am, still waiting. Should've saved my $3000 and stayed far away from this resort!
Private shuttle upgrade for airport transportation
I had a really bad experience with the private shuttle upgrade for airport transport. We paid extra for it, but when we got to the airport, there was no shuttle waiting for us like they said there would be. We ended up waiting for two hours and then getting put on a bus with people from other resorts. The tour we booked wasn't what we were told it would be, but we didn't complain about that one. When we tried to cancel a different tour because we weren't happy with it, they wouldn't give us a refund and said it was too late to cancel - even though I tried reaching out to them the day before with no luck. The staff at the resort weren't helpful either, seemed like they were just on their phones all the time and couldn't find our reservation information. Overall, I was really disappointed with the service and won't be using this travel company again or recommending it to anyone.
Anniversary trip booked by travel agent
Our travel agent was absolutely fantastic and handled all the arrangements for our anniversary trip through a vacation company. She really nailed it! However, once we arrived at the hotel, the vacation company dropped the ball. They only took care of our initial transportation and then left us hanging. No anniversary shout-out, no check-ins during our stay, and we even had to ask the hotel Concierge to set up our ride to the airport. We were taken aback because typically the vacation company does something special for us, like a welcome gathering or a little surprise in our room. But this time, we heard crickets from them. It was a major letdown.
Apple Vacations package
I booked a package with Apple Vacations from a travel agent and it was a total disaster. The hotel I stayed at was lousy, and the airport transportation Apple Vacations arranged was a nightmare. Definitely make sure to double and triple check everything before going for an Apple Vacations package.
Adult only vacation to Punta Cana
I booked a 5-star Mystery deal with this company and ended up at the Breathless Punta Cana resort. I upgraded to the X-hale club and got a master suite with an ocean view, but it wasn't as good as I expected. I reached out to customer service a few times but they weren't able to help me out.
Recent vacation booking
Man, let me tell you about my recent experience trying to book a vacation. It was a total bummer. I forked over more than $7,000 upfront and even got insurance, but Apple Vacations wouldn't give me a refund when a family emergency came up and we couldn't go on the trip. When I tried to talk to a manager about it, they basically brushed me off and said no one was available to help. It was pretty clear they cared more about making money than actually caring about their customers or understanding unexpected stuff that can happen. I definitely wouldn't recommend anyone do business with them because they just don't seem to give a darn about treating people right.
