As someone who has used this meal delivery service, I wanted to share a few points about my experience. First off, I noticed that the menu options were a bit limited. Repeated meals due to limited menu variety
While I was initially drawn to Balance, I've started to get kind of bored with their menu. Everything seems to be either black or white which gets old after a while. It's like I'm eating the same thing over and over every week, which takes away from the whole dining experience. Even though the food is usually pretty good, the lack of variety is a big downside.
Good food, expensive
As a customer, I think the food here is pretty good, but I do find the prices to be a bit high. It would be nice if they offered some discounts for people who buy a lot at once. That way, they could get more customers and keep them coming back for more.
Non-GMO concern
The food here is pretty good, but I'm kind of worried about whether it's non-GMO. I really focus on organic, hormone-free, and pesticide-free options when it comes to what I eat, and it's super important to me to know what I'm putting into my body. I think Balance Bistro should give customers more details about where their ingredients come from and how good they are to build trust and transparency. Without that info, I have to guess that the food might not meet my standards for quality and health.
Rubber food
I was really disappointed with the food quality. The pork tenderloin and turkey sausage were so rubbery, and the egg-based breakfast dishes were watery and just not appealing. And to top it off, the fruit sides - like the honey peaches and spiced apples - were half-cooked, making them both crunchy and rubbery at the same time. Overall, the meals were pretty unpleasant, and I wouldn't suggest this service to anyone. You might even end up losing weight because you won't be able to finish your meals!
Meal quality and variety
I have to say, the meals from this service have been a bit of a mixed bag for me. Like, sometimes the side veggies are just way too over-spiced with dried herbs that still feel all dry and sad, you know? And it's kind of a bummer. Recently, I've been all about ordering breakfast items, and my go-to has been the Ham and Egg Scramble with Cinnamon Apples. I usually order a bunch at once, like around 15-20 because I seriously can't get enough. They always process my orders super fast and deliver right on time. The food is always so tasty, and I've never been let down. Thanks for making my mornings so delicious and convenient!
Seafood dish and breakfast dish
I recently ordered a seafood dish and a breakfast dish from this place. The breakfast dish was just okay, nothing special, kind of like something you could grab at the store. But let me tell you about the seafood dish - it was not good. The fish smelled really fishy, tasted old, and was just not tasty at all. The side dish that came with it was alright, but the fishy smell had gotten into it too, making it not appetizing either. I was really hoping for a quick and easy meal, but the fish just ruined it for me. I emailed customer service to let them know how disappointed I was, but their response was not helpful at all. They pretty much ignored my concerns and sent me a generic message about well-being. Overall, it was a letdown of an experience.

Spoiled food, inedible
I was really disappointed with my recent purchase from this service. The food was all spoiled and I couldn't even eat it, so I ended up throwing it away. The only good thing were the snacks, but even they didn't taste as good as I hoped. The only thing I really liked were the pizza puffs, I thought about ordering more but changed my mind because of the poor quality overall. I also noticed that not all user reviews were being shown, which made me wary of supporting the company. I left a negative review on another site, but it looks like it may not have been posted because it was critical.
Frozen meal delivery experience
I was really let down by this frozen meal delivery service I tried out recently. The food was all messed up when it got to me because it was packaged poorly and was in transit for so long, especially in the heat of summer. When I called to cancel right away, they said I had to keep it going for at least another week. And to top it off, I couldn't even leave a negative review on their site because it looks like they only allow positive feedback.
Tried new meals, kept the ones I liked.
I tried some new dishes from this place, but man, they were really disappointing. I had to toss out four of them because they were either funky-tasting or just plain gross. However, the ones that did taste good, I kept and will likely order them again. I enjoy sampling new stuff, but I guess you gotta stick with what you know you'll enjoy. Oh well, thanks anyways!
Food quality, shipping issues
The food from this company is really good, with lots of yummy and healthy choices. But I had some problems with the shipping. They used to use styrofoam coolers to keep the food frozen, but now they switched to something that doesn't work as well. So, my food came kind of thawed and leaking, which was not okay. Now I'm not sure if I want to order from them again in the future.
Meal delivery service
I've actually tried out a meal delivery service for a few weeks recently, but I gotta say, it wasn't the best experience. I tried to cancel my order a few times, but they said I missed the deadline by just one day, even though the meals weren't shipping for another four days. I explained that I couldn't really afford to shell out $15 for each meal, and it just wasn't worth it for me, but the customer service rep wasn't very helpful, they kept giving me the same canned response. It was pretty frustrating that they couldn't make an exception, especially since the meals were frozen and could've been used for another customer. I was disappointed with their lack of understanding and flexibility in their policies. I've decided not to use that service again, customer service is super important to me, and there are other better options out there, like HelloFresh, that have awesome customer service all around.
