Shipping mess but my dog loves one thing

there was a deal for free shipping over $159.99 and a 10% discount if you hit some other threshold. Long story short, the discount knocked the order below the free-shipping bar, so I had to add stuff just to get it back up. That felt a little like marketing math, you know? A tiny rinse-and-repeat annoyance, but whatever, I was focused on getting snacks that my dog will actually eat. When the box arrived the first time it was a mess. The dry ice packs inside had been cut or punctured somehow, so everything was damp. Not just a little damp—like condensation inside the bags, moisture on the treats, one bag actually opened at the crease. I took pictures because it looked like something in the box had been slicing at the bottom (weird, right?). I tossed the wet treats; I wasn’t going to feed them to him. I called customer service and asked for replacements, but only for the treats we had thrown away. I explicitly told them not to ship the treats with dry ice — I didn’t want them cold or wet. Their shipping policy even says treat-only orders are packed in a regular non-insulated box, and treats with frozen proteins go in an insulated box with dry ice. So I thought, okay, they get it. A week later the replacement still hadn’t shipped, so I called again. The rep was polite and said she’d email tracking and throw in a discount code for the trouble. We got tracking but never the discount code. Then the replacement showed up — packed with dry ice, exactly what I asked them not to do. And, shocker, one of the bags was sliced open again. I can’t figure out whether the packaging is flimsy, the ice shifts and acts like a blade in transit, or whoever packed it wasn’t paying attention. Either way, I had to toss more treats. That part was frustrating and honestly kind of sad, because my dog really loves the Chicken Apple Sausage in particular — that one’s a hit, like instant tail-wag happy, and it’s the only reason I’m still ordering from them. So that’s the positive: the product itself (when it arrives intact) is something my dog will eat, which is huge. But the whole experience around shipping and follow-through from customer service left a sour taste. They were friendly on the phone but didn’t follow up with the promised discount and shipped against my request, twice. I did appreciate the small gesture of a few extra frozen items in the replacement, but that didn’t fix the wet snacks problem. I’m torn — I want to keep buying the treats because my dog obviously loves them, but I’m wary of wasting money or having to throw stuff away again. If they tighten up packing (no dry ice for treat-only orders, better sealing) and actually honor the little promises they make over the phone, this would be so much better. As it stands, it’s usable product but shaky execution. A decent flavor for the dog, poor shipping follow-through for me.

    Bacon, boxes, and mixed messages

bacon package with a busted vacuum seal. The meat looked like it had been in a sad swamp for a week — brown and slimy — so yeah, nope. I called and told them, and the rep didn’t offer to send a replacement, which felt... dismissive. Then another time the outer box looked like it had been through a storm; everything inside was damp. Most recent time I actually canceled the order a day after I placed it, well before processing, and my email asking to cancel went unread (or ignored). When I got a shipping notice I called; one rep said she'd look into it and asked if she could text me. Two days of radio silence later I called again — new person says my order was “en route” while also saying I'd been fully refunded. So now I’m left wondering whether anyone is checking the notes or just guessing. I wanted to be one of those happy repeat customers but the doubts never really went away. Frustrating, kind of sad, and I’m done ordering online from them.

Not-bad snacks, but delivery and follow-up need work

I open the box, and it’s wet inside. Not dripping like a lake, but enough that you notice, and enough that the treat bags show condensation and one bag is actually split open at the crease. That’s how this started. I’ll be straight — the treats themselves are genuinely liked by our dog (especially the chicken apple sausage), which is why I kept trying to work it out with the company instead of just walking away. But the whole ordering and replacement process felt clunky and half-baked, and that’s what I want to talk about.
We ordered during a promotion where shipping was free over a certain amount, and they also had a 10% discount tied to hitting a threshold. It’s the kind of setup that sounds fine until the math punches you: apply the discount and suddenly you’re under the free-shipping minimum unless you add more stuff. Feels a bit like marketing maneuvering. Fine, we still ordered, but the first box arrived soaked on the inside, with signs that something had sliced the bottom in spots. I took pictures, tossed the soggy treats, and called.
When I called customer service I was clear: replace only the snacks, do not send them with dry ice, do not pack them with frozen items — because when treats arrive wet, that’s the whole problem. The company’s own shipping rules even say treats-only orders should go in a non-insulated box, so I thought that was straightforward. The agent was polite and said they’d ship a replacement and email a tracking number and even promised a discount code for the trouble. So far, so good. A few days later I called to check — replacement hadn’t shipped yet, agent said they’d follow up by email. We did get a tracking number eventually, but not the discount code. And then the replacement came…packed with dry ice. Exactly what I specifically asked them not to do. One bag was sliced open again. Same deal. I don’t know whether something is cutting the bags in transit or the dry ice packaging shifts and acts like a blade, but it happened twice.
Customer service was courteous overall — not rude, some helpfulness — but the follow-through was weak: promises of notes, a discount code that never appeared, and instructions apparently ignored. That’s frustrating. If you’re going to say you’ll do something for a customer, actually do it, or at least tell them why you can’t. I wish whoever handled the shipping had a checklist: “treats only? non-insulated box” and make sure reps can log that so packers see it. Small step that would avoid a lot of wasted food and time.
So, the verdict: the treats are a hit — the dog loves them, and I’ll probably reorder because he’s picky and these work. But the packaging and delivery process needs fixing, and customer service needs tighter follow-through. If you shop here, my advice is: take photos right away if anything looks off, be explicit about packaging in any notes, and don’t assume a promised email or coupon will show up. Also, be prepared to call again if the first reply doesn’t resolve it. It’s not a total disaster, but it’s not seamless either. I hope they tighten up their shipping procedures and internal communication. That would turn a shaky experience into a solid one.

Chicken wings and air fryer deal.

I was all set at 10am, had everything in my cart, but when I tried to check out, the deal was gone. It's totally misleading and now I'm just annoyed and feeling tricked. I don't think they even care enough to fix it.

    Chicken tenders purchase

I bought some chicken tenders from this farm the other day, and man, let me tell you, they were a total letdown. I opened up the package and saw these huge veins running through every single tender - totally ruined my appetite. And to top it off, some of them were so smashed up I couldn't even tell what they were. Yeah, needless to say, I won't be going back to that farm anytime soon.

Wet and damaged dog treats purchase

I just bought some dog treats from this place and man, it was a total disaster. The shipping was a mess - the dry ice bags got ripped open, so the box and everything inside were all wet and soggy. To top it off, the treats were damp inside their bags and one bag was even torn open. I can't believe it! Unacceptable!

Turkey, turkey breast, chicken thighs, cheesecakes, ground beef

I can't believe how terrible the customer service was with this company. I spent a lot of money on different food items, including a turkey breast, only to discover it wasn't in my order. When I called to ask for it to be sent separately, they told me they couldn't do it because of some crazy policy. It's insane to me that they couldn't fix a simple mistake by just sending out the missing item. This company cares more about money than making their customers happy, and I won't support that. I won't be ordering from them again.

    Purchase of bacon online

My recent experiences with ordering online from Perdue have been really disappointing. The first time I ordered, the bacon package had a broken seal and the meat was all gross. I told customer service about it, but never got a replacement. Another time, the box was all messed up during shipping and everything inside was wet. My latest order got canceled and they didn't even respond to my email about it. When I tried to sort it out with customer service, they kept giving me different answers and I had to bug them multiple times. The lack of communication and reliability has made me completely lose faith in this service.

    Interview travel expenses

I interviewed for a job that needed me to travel to Salisbury, MD in September. They promised to reimburse my meal and taxi costs, but I still haven't been paid back for any of it. I did everything they asked, but they haven't kept their word. It's really frustrating when a company says one thing and doesn't do it. It's just not right and it's disrespectful.
