Sofa and ottoman
I recently got this really great sofa and ottoman set and it's been fantastic! The delivery did take a bit longer than I thought, but not as bad as some other places. The guys who put it together were really nice and even wore booties in my house. The slipcover is awesome - it can repel almost anything! I spilled some food on it and it wiped right off, no stains! The couch is also super comfortable - perfect for movie nights. The best part was when I found out the price had dropped after I purchased it, and they refunded me the difference. I will definitely be returning here for more furniture!
High shipping costs
I gave this website a low rating of two stars mainly because of their limited range of products. I don't plan on making any future purchases from them, though. The shipping fees are way too high; it feels like you're overpaying just to receive your order. Unlike other online stores that provide shipping discounts, Grandin Road doesn't offer any like free shipping with a minimum purchase or special promotions. The more you spend at this place, the more you'll end up shelling out for shipping, which doesn't make much sense. Overall, it's just not worth it in my opinion.
Indonesia made bench with leather top
I just bought a bench with a leather top from Indonesia through this company. But when it got delivered, I saw that the legs were damaged. So, I decided to send it back without even opening the box. The return went really easy and without any problems, which was great. In the end, I think the company handled everything well and I ended up happy with how it all turned out.
Bird Wall Decor Replacement
I never would have thought I'd have such a smooth experience with customer service! I ordered a wall decor set that had a broken bird, and honestly, I was expecting a headache trying to get it sorted. But man, was I surprised! The rep I talked to, we'll call her 'S.C.', was super quick to answer me and made sure I got a replacement without any trouble. She was real professional and made sure I was happy with everything. Two bedside tables
I just got some new nightstands from the store the other day. My husband bought them at first but forgot to put in a discount code. I just got a couple of navy blue leather storage benches, a cool "dice" side table, and three wood-framed illuminated frames for my game room from this store. The stuff is top-notch and super stylish. The benches fit perfectly, the table is a fun addition, and the frames are great for showing off my record album covers with their remote controls. I'm really happy with everything and definitely suggest checking out this store if you want unique, high-quality stuff.
LIZA Teak Bench
I bought a LIZA teak bench from Grandin Road not long ago. The bench is fine, but I was bummed about the lack of useful info from their product experts. I reached out to them to ask about the type of teak sealer they use to care for the bench, wanting to keep it consistent for maintenance. But they said they couldn't share that info because of a confidentiality deal with the vendor. That really irked me as a customer.
Counter stools purchase
I bought 5 counter stools from this company. Sadly, one of them came damaged. I reached out to customer service, and they said they'd send me a new one and have UPS grab the broken one. But when I checked on the replacement, they told me it was out of stock. So, I had to send back all 4 good stools. Dealing with this has been really annoying. The customer service wasn't helpful, and they handled everything poorly. I wouldn't suggest buying from this company.
Table lamp purchase
I purchased this adorable table lamp back in December, thinking it would arrive quickly. But then I received a notification saying it won't be delivered until March! That seems like such a long time from now! I checked out some other reviews and it seems like this is a common issue with this company. Not cool at all, man.
Special discount disappointment
I was really pumped to snag an awesome deal with a 20% off discount code for everything on the site. But when I went to purchase two items, turns out they weren't eligible for the discount! It's like giving someone a slice of cake and then snatching it back before they can even taste it. Not cool, dude. It seemed shady, and I was seriously let down. Shame on you for your misleading promos!
Leather coffee table
I ordered this really awesome leather coffee table online, but it never showed up like it was supposed to a few days later. I kept checking the tracking stuff, but it never changed. When I called customer service, they were clueless about where it was too. I had to bug them a bunch of times to find out what happened, and finally, they said it was lost and gave me my money back. Man, I was super annoyed. I just really wanted that table!
Received unexpected credit check
I just ordered from this company for the first time. After I made my order and paid with my credit card, I realized they did a credit check through Equifax without asking me. I reached out to customer service, but they didn't really explain. I talked to a manager who said they would look into it, but never got back to me. Luckily, the credit check didn't actually go through in the end.
Misleading discount offer
I was pretty upset about this sketchy discount the company was promoting. They said you'd get 20% off if you signed up, but then when you did, they charged the full price for an item that was supposed to be on sale. And to top it off, they slapped on the 20% discount, making it even more expensive than the sale price. On top of all that, the shipping costs were crazy high. All in all, I thought their pricing tactics were sneaky and just turned me off.
Outdoor side tables
I bought some outdoor side tables from this company, thinking they'd be tough and stand up to the outdoor weather. But, within a year, they started peeling like crazy, almost like they weren't made for being outside. I got in touch with customer service to see about getting a refund or exchanging them, but they weren't willing to help me out. I'm just really let down by how the tables held up and the lack of help from customer service.
Stools
I bought a set of stools from this place a year and a half ago, and I've been pretty let down by the quality. Even though I really like how they look, both footrests are falling apart on them. It's not cool, considering how much I paid for them. I hope the company will back up their products and fix these issues, especially when it could be unsafe. My kid uses these stools, and I really don't want them getting hurt because of shoddy workmanship. The customer service person I talked to was sorry, but that doesn't fix the problem of the stools falling apart.
Cancelled order, long wait time
So, I was just looking around online and stumbled upon this company, so I figured I'd check it out. Man, let me tell you, it was a total nightmare. I placed my order and then found out it was going to take six whole months to get my stuff. Six months! Can you believe that? I wasn't about to sit around waiting that long, so I canceled my order right away. The whole thing was a mess from beginning to end. What a complete waste of my time and energy.
